December 15, 2018
Old Dominion at Syracuse 12:00 PM ET
Syracuse had a potentially momentum-generating win in its most recent contest, but a week off has put that momentum on hold for now. The Orange return to the court Saturday and aim to extend their winning streak to six when they host Old Dominion.
Southern Methodist at Georgetown 12:00 PM ET
With a week off to process a difficult loss, Georgetown will return to action Saturday in a non-conference game against visiting SMU. The Hoyas and senior Jessie Govan took former archrival Syracuse down to the wire before succumbing 72-71 but will have a chance to close out 2018 with four straight victories if they can beat the Mustangs.
Villanova at Kansas 12:00 PM ET
Villanova failed its first Final Four rematch and hopes for a better result Saturday when it visits Kansas. The top-ranked Jayhawks are off to an undefeated start, while the 16th-ranked Wildcats are looking to bounce back from a rare Big 5 defeat.
Tennessee at Memphis 12:00 PM ET
Memphis has experienced its share of ups and downs through the first nine games of Penny Hardaway’s debut season as coach, but a watershed moment – and a tremendous challenge – awaits at home Saturday when the Tigers host No. 4 Tennessee. With its recent upset of previously top-ranked Gonzaga, Tennessee represents a chance for Hardaway’s squad to measure how far it has to go to reach the Volunteers' elite level.
Bucknell at Ohio St. 12:00 PM ET
After a 10-day break for final exams, Ohio State eases back into game action at home against non-conference opponent Bucknell on Saturday afternoon. The No. 14 Buckeyes would like to pick up where they left off after opening Big Ten play earlier this month with wins over Minnesota and Illinois.
Appalachian St. at South Florida 1:00 PM ET
South Florida gets back into action Saturday afternoon after an eight-day layoff was extended to 14 due to Winter Storm Diego forcing the cancellation of its Dec. 9 meeting with Charlotte. The Bulls are still seeking their first 7-2 start since the 2013-14 season and they now turn their attention to hosting an Appalachian State team that has won three of its last four games.
Notre Dame at Purdue 1:30 PM ET
Notre Dame looks to snap a two-game skid as it plays Purdue in Indianapolis on Saturday afternoon as part of the Crossroads Classic. The Boilermakers haven’t fared much better of late as they’ve lost four of six since a 4-0 start.
Rutgers at Seton Hall 2:00 PM ET
Seton Hall will look to build on its upset of No. 18 Kentucky a week ago when it comes home to host rival Rutgers in the Garden State Hardwood Classic on Saturday afternoon. The Pirates edged the Wildcats 84-83 in overtime Dec. 8, while the Scarlet Knights will try to snap a three-game losing streak and have also been off for a week.
NC State at Penn St. 2:00 PM ET
North Carolina State's one blemish was a loss to a Big Ten team, a fate it will try to avoid when it meets Penn State on Saturday in the Basketball Hall of Fame Boardwalk Classic at Atlantic City, N.J. The Wolfpack fell at No. 19 Wisconsin by a 79-75 margin on Nov. 27, but they've rebounded with consecutive comfortable victories over Vanderbilt and Western Carolina.
East Tennessee St. at Illinois 2:00 PM ET
Illinois looks to build on a rare win when it hosts East Tennessee State on Saturday afternoon in a non-conference contest. The Illini topped UNLV last Saturday to snap a three-game losing streak, while the Buccaneers have won two straight, though they're starting a three-game road trip and are 2-3 away on the road compared to 6-0 at home.
Maryland - E. Shore at Pittsburgh 2:00 PM ET

Pittsburgh's surprising start has been sidetracked by three losses in its last four games. The freshmen-led Panthers will try to get headed back in the right direction, especially on the offensive end, when Maryland-Eastern Shore visits Saturday.

Western Michigan at Michigan 2:00 PM ET

Fifth-ranked Michigan looks to continue its spectacular start to the season when it hosts Western Michigan on Saturday. The Wolverines have won their first 10 games for the fourth time in program history following an 89-78 victory against South Carolina on Dec. 8, and hope that a week-long break for final exams doesn't rob them of their momentum as they seek to extend their non-conference home winning streak to 18 in row.

Southern Illinois at Buffalo 2:00 PM ET
If No. 15 Buffalo can get through three difficult games in the span of six days, beginning Saturday with a rematch against visiting Southern Illinois, its chances of running the table this season will improve greatly. The Bulls had a week off to prepare for a home game against the Salukis and a pair on the road next week at Syracuse and previously ranked Marquette.
Radford at Clemson 3:00 PM ET

Clemson looks to begin reversing its recent slide when it hosts Radford on Saturday. The Tigers have had a week off following an 82-71 neutral-site loss to Mississippi State - their third defeat in four games.

Butler at Indiana 3:45 PM ET
Indiana and Butler return to action for the first time in a week when the in-state rivals face off Saturday in the Crossroads Classic at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis that also includes Notre Dame and Purdue. The Hoosiers have won three straight since a blowout loss at No. 2 Duke last month and the Bulldogs have won two in a row since losing at Saint Louis on Dec. 1.
Kent St. at Louisville 4:00 PM ET
It wasn’t pretty, but Louisville eked out a win in the opener of its five-game homestand with a 72-68 win over Lipscomb on Wednesday. The Cardinals will look to make it back-to-back wins when they host Kent State on Saturday afternoon.
Drake at Iowa State 4:30 PM ET
Suspensions and injuries have given Iowa State freshman guard Tyrese Haliburton a chance to show his worth and he has taken full advantage as the Cyclones prepare to take on state-rival Drake at the Hy-Vee Classic in Des Moines, Iowa on Saturday. Haliburton scored 15 points - one off his season high - and dished out a school-record 17 assists in Sunday’s 101-65 victory over Southern.
Davidson at Temple 4:30 PM ET
Wake Forest looks to put together back-to-back wins for the first time since mid-November as it hosts Davidson on Monday evening. The Demon Deacons are coming off a dominating win over Charlotte, while the Wildcats will try to bounce back off just their second loss of the season.
Davidson at Temple 4:30 PM ET
Following three rough shooting games, Shizz Alston Jr. showed what he is capable of in Temple's most recent outing. The Owls' senior guard looks for an encore performance Saturday against Davidson when the teams square off in the Boardwalk Classic in Atlantic City, N.J.
Utah at Kentucky 5:00 PM ET

No. 18 Kentucky will try to overcome a pair of losses Saturday as it hosts Utah. A week earlier, the Wildcats fell to Seton Hall 84-83 in overtime at Madison Square Garden, and then a few days later, sophomore point guard Quade Green announced he has left the program to transfer.

Belmont at UCLA 5:00 PM ET
Opposing defenses haven't been the biggest concern this season for sophomore guard Kris Wilkes as UCLA hosts Belmont on Saturday in a matchup of schools nicknamed the Bruins. Wilkes, who leads UCLA in scoring at 17.1 points per game, has missed parts of two of the last four contests with cramps in his calves, and revealed that dehydration has been an issue since the eighth grade.
Southern Miss at Wichita St. 5:30 PM ET
Wichita State rebounded from the program’s worst loss in a decade last weekend against Oklahoma with a much needed 69-65 victory over Jacksonville State on Wednesday. The Shockers will host Southern Miss on Saturday in their annual downtown game at INTRUST Bank Arena.
Grand Canyon at Texas 6:00 PM ET
Kerwin Roach II is the key to getting the Texas offense out of its funk as the Longhorns prepare to host Grand Canyon on Saturday. Good things happen for the Longhorns when the senior guard drives and distributes instead of settling for his jumper.
Arizona State at Georgia 6:00 PM ET
No. 20 Arizona State learned a difficult lesson about closing games on the road when it fell against No. 6 Nevada last weekend, and following a week off, the Sun Devils look to rebound from their first defeat of the season. Arizona State opens a two-game, SEC road trip with a Saturday contest at Georgia, which is still smarting over letting a 12-point halftime advantage slip away in a 72-66 loss to the Wolf Pack that snapped a 20-game regular-season non-conference winning streak.
Abilene Christian at Texas Tech 7:00 PM ET
No. 11 Texas Tech will play one final game in its old home Saturday when the undefeated Red Raiders host Abilene Christian at the Lubbock Municipal Coliseum. Saturday's throwback game - featuring retro uniforms and past Red Raider greats - will be the final basketball game at the Coliseum before it is demolished in the spring.
Iowa at Northern Iowa 7:00 PM ET

No. 21 Iowa looks to consolidate its position in the Top 25 when it meets Northern Iowa in Des Moines on Saturday. The Hawkeyes are flying high after snapping a two-game losing skid with an 98-84 win against Iowa State in the annual CyHawk game and hope to build off the impressive victory by notching their fourth straight win in the final edition of the Hy-Vee Classic, which features the state of Iowa's four Division 1 programs.

Virginia Tech at Washington 7:00 PM ET

A loss at the buzzer to then-No. 1 Gonzaga showed that Washington could play against the country’s elite. After responding well for the first 30 minutes in their next contest against Seattle on Sunday, the Huskies had to hang on to defeat the Redhawks and must rise their level of play again when they play No. 13 Virginia Tech on Saturday in the Atlantic City Boardwalk Classic in Atlantic City, N.J.

Gonzaga at North Carolina 7:00 PM ET
Sixth-ranked Gonzaga and 12th-ranked North Carolina will meet in Chapel Hill, N.C. on Saturday and the stakes won't be as high as their previous meeting. The Tar Heels beat the Bulldogs 71-65 in the 2017 NCAA title game during Gonzaga's first ever Final Four run.
Eastern Washington at Stanford 7:00 PM ET
After two weeks off for finals, Stanford returns to action Saturday against visiting Eastern Washington. The Cardinal have dropped four of its last six games but turned in a strong performance before the break, forcing overtime at Kansas before losing 90-84.
Auburn at UAB 7:30 PM ET

In-state rivals will square off for the fourth consecutive season when No. 8 Auburn faces UAB on Saturday in Birmingham. Auburn has won five straight meetings to tie the all-time series at 10 victories apiece, but each matchup over the last three seasons has been decided by five points or fewer.

Georgia St. at Kansas State 8:00 PM ET
Home is a welcomed sight for No. 24 Kansas State, which hosts Georgia State on Saturday after a pair of miserable offensive performances that led to the Wildcats' first two defeats of the season. Kansas State averaged 73 points in winning the first six games of the season by an average of 16.7 points, but in defeats to Marquette and Tulsa scored just 58.5 points while shooting 36 percent from the field and 26.8 percent from 3-point range.
Manhattan at Connecticut 8:00 PM ET
Connecticut has shown plenty of improvement in the first 10 games of coach Dan Hurley’s tenure and aims to continue that progress with three games left before conference play, beginning with a visit from struggling Manhattan on Saturday. The Huskies have taken care of business against mid-majors and own a victory over Syracuse, but dropped single-digit decisions to Arizona and Florida State in the past three games.
Texas-San Antonio at Arkansas 8:00 PM ET
Daniel Gafford is excited to experience a homecoming of sorts when Arkansas meets Texas-San Antonio on Saturday in North Little Rock, Ark., which sits nearly 200 miles from the Razorbacks' campus. The 6-10 sophomore forward hails from El Dorado, Ark., - some 120 miles from North Little Rock - and remembers last season's 88-63 victory over Troy in what has become Arkansas' annual trek to the center of the state.
Eastern Kentucky at Xavier 8:00 PM ET
Xavier's last outing showed it needs to make some improvements before Big East play begins later this month. The Musketeers hope to bounce back from a difficult offensive performance when they host Eastern Kentucky on Saturday.
Cincinnati at Mississippi State 8:30 PM ET
Southern California at Oklahoma 9:00 PM ET
Oklahoma has won four in a row after its most lopsided victory of the season last weekend - an 80-48 win over Wichita State - and will look to keep it rolling Saturday when the Sooners travel to Tulsa to take on a struggling USC team. The Trojans lost back-to-back games for the first time this season after a 96-61 setback to TCU last Friday – the program’s largest defeat in 15 years.
Boise St. at Oregon 9:00 PM ET
After rallying from a nine-point first half deficit to defeat San Diego 65-55 on Wednesday night, Oregon will take a two-game winning streak into Saturday night's home game with Boise State. The Broncos, who will host the Ducks two weeks later in Boise in a rare home-and-home series, snapped Oregon's 46-game home court win streak last season.
South Dakota State at Nevada 9:00 PM ET
After compiling a 6-0 record during a 25-day road swing, seventh-ranked Nevada is looking forward to finally playing a game on its home court. However, the Wolf Pack can't afford any kind of a letup as defending Summit League champion South Dakota State, which scored 90 points in the first half of a 139-72 rout of Savannah State on Tuesday night, comes calling.
Cal Poly SLO at California 10:00 PM ET
California forward Grant Anticevich was a forgotten man early this season, but the 6-8 sophomore may have carved out a larger role for himself following last week’s breakout performance. Anticevich looks to take another step forward Saturday when the Bears conclude their three-game homestand against Cal Poly.
Baylor at Arizona 11:00 PM ET

Two teams coming off losses and down time for finals meet late Saturday night when Arizona hosts Baylor. The Wildcats have had a six-day stretch following Sunday’s 76-73 loss at Alabama while the Bears will play a game for the first time in two weeks following their 71-63 loss at Wichita State on Dec. 1.

Texas A&M at Oregon St. 11:00 PM ET
Texas A&M hoped it was going to play a game last weekend against Boston College and return to .500, but what it got was just another odd twist to what has already been an otherwise forgettable start in 2018-19. The Aggies hit the court for the first time after 11 days off Saturday when they face Oregon State for the first time in 42 years in the Dam City Classic at the Moda Center in Portland, Ore.
Louisiana State at St. Mary's 11:00 PM ET
Saint Mary's first trip to Las Vegas this season was a disappointment, losing both games at the MGM Main Event last month and triggering a four-game skid for the Gaels which included a four-point loss to a ranked SEC foe. Randy Bennett's squad has rebounded from that funk with four straight victories, however, and will take a shot at another SEC opponent in Las Vegas on Saturday when they meet LSU in the Neon Hoops Showcase.
