Louisiana-Lafayette at Georgia 6:00 PM ET
Georgia hosts Louisiana-Lafayette on Wednesday to conclude a 10-day break since its last game, an 89-79 loss to Marquette that disclosed defensive deficiencies head coach Mark Fox vows to fix. While the Bulldogs’ three losses this season have come against good competition – Clemson, Kansas and Marquette, none by more than 11 points – Fox sees room for improvement as SEC play begins in two weeks.
Chicago St. at Northwestern 7:00 PM ET
Northwestern looks to remain unbeaten at home this season when it welcomes Chicago State to Evanston on Wednesday. The Wildcats forced a season-high 21 turnovers en route to a convincing 83-49 victory over New Orleans to improve to 6-0 at Welsh-Ryan Arena and extend their non-conference home winning streak to 19 games.
Fairleigh Dickinson at Rutgers 7:00 PM ET
Rutgers, off to its best start since the 1975-76 season, looks for its 10th win when it hosts Fairleigh Dickinson on Wednesday. The Scarlet Knights are 7-0 at home and rallied from a 10-point second-half deficit to knock off Stony Brook last time out for their third straight victory.
Southern at Baylor 7:00 PM ET
With 10 days off to focus on exams after knocking off then-No. 7 Xavier, No. 5 Baylor begins a stretch of four games against mid-major schools when Southern visits on Wednesday. The Bears will end their non-conference schedule with Jackson State, John Brown and Texas Southern before starting Big 12 play at Oklahoma on Dec. 30.
East Tennessee St. at Mississippi St. 8:00 PM ET
Lamar Peters is wide awake, and has Mississippi State looking for its first four-game winning streak of the season Wednesday night as it entertains East Tennessee State. The Bulldogs have won their last three games by an average of 15 points and are coming off an impressive 82-60 drubbing of Georgia State.
LIU Brooklyn at Minnesota 8:00 PM ET

A nine-day break for final exams is looming for Minnesota, but first it has one more on-court test, hosting LIU Brooklyn on Wednesday. The Golden Gophers enter the contest with a 10-1 record and a four-game win streak while the Blackbirds lost two of their last three but are coming off a 74-73 victory over city-rival St. John’s.

Illinois-Chicago at DePaul 8:00 PM ET
Getting off to a strong start will be important for DePaul when it hosts city rival Illinois-Chicago on Wednesday. As was the case in a recent loss against Northwestern, the Blue Demons went down big early against Temple at the Hoophall Miami Invitational before their big second-half rally once again fell short.
McNeese St. at Southern Methodist 8:00 PM ET
SMU has won the first three of a six-game homestand including an impressive 74-59 victory over previously unbeaten TCU. The Mustangs, who have had a week to enjoy the win of the crosstown-rival Horned Frogs, return to action on Wednesday when they host McNeese State.
Green Bay at Wisconsin 9:00 PM ET
Wisconsin took down state rival Marquette with an impressive performance over the weekend and looks to do the same with another when Green Bay visits on Wednesday night. The 14th-ranked Badgers recorded 58 points in the second half and shot 58.2 percent from the field overall against Marquette to post their fifth straight victory and avenge a loss to the Golden Eagles last season.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Oklahoma St. 9:00 PM ET

After two straight hard-fought matchups, Oklahoma State gets a bit of a break from the schedule when the Cowboys host struggling Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Wednesday. Oklahoma State is coming off a 71-67 win at Tulsa while the Golden Lions have dropped eight straight and are searching for their first win over an NCAA Division I program this season.

Nicholls State at Texas Tech 9:00 PM ET
Texas Tech has a number of items on its to-do list before Big 12 play begins Dec. 30 at Iowa State, but getting healthy is probably the top priority. The Red Raiders could be without three members of their frontcourt Wednesday against visiting Nicholls, which was picked to finish last in the Southland Conference preseason poll.
Western Kentucky at St. Mary's 10:00 PM ET
Saint Mary's coach Randy Bennett liked what he saw last Thursday with his team’s bounce-back performance. The 20th-ranked Gaels seek a second straight strong performance when Western Kentucky visits Wednesday in the first-ever meeting between the schools.
UC Santa Barbara at UCLA 10:30 PM ET
The best 3-point shooting team in the nation will go up against the worst when No. 2 UCLA hosts UC Santa Barbara in a nonconference game Wednesday night. The Bruins came into the week shooting 47.1 percent from beyond the arc after a sizzling 15-for-24 performance Saturday against visiting Michigan, while the Gauchos came in last out of 351 Division I teams at 25.9 percent.
Grand Canyon at Arizona 11:00 PM ET
Arizona continues to be short-handed in the backcourt, but the No. 19 Wildcats have received solid support lately from 6-5 freshmen guards Rawle Alkins and Kobi Simmons heading into their game Wednesday night against visiting Grand Canyon. Alkins is coming off season highs of 19 points and nine rebounds in Saturday's win against Missouri, his fourth straight game in double figures, and Simmons also scored a season-high 19 in the latest win.
