Preview Roundups
December 12, 2016
Auburn at Boston College 6:30 PM ET
Both Auburn and Boston College were hoping to take a step forward this season with youthful, talented rosters, but only one program has done the job thus far. The rising Tigers look to continue their best start in five seasons when they tackle the stumbling Eagles in the Under Armour Reunion at Madison Square Garden on Monday.
Jacksonville St. at Maryland 7:00 PM ET
With two tuneups remaining before Big Ten play tips off, Maryland hosts Jacksonville State on Monday evening. Terrapins point guard Melo Trimble, coming off a season-low five-point effort in Saturday's win against Saint Peter's, will look to guide his young squad to another defensive-minded victory.
Pennsylvania at Central Florida 7:00 PM ET
Defensive-minded UCF goes after its fifth win in a row on Monday night when it hosts Pennsylvania. The Knights, who rank No. 2 in Division I in scoring defense (55.0 points), have shut down their foes behind a tall front line anchored by 7-6 sophomore Tacko Fall and will be facing a team that has only one starter taller than 6-5.
Bethune-Cookman at South Florida 7:00 PM ET
South Florida looks to shake off a demoralizing loss on the road when they host Bethune-Cookman of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference on Monday night. The Bulls led by as much as 13 and held a four-point advantage with 46 seconds to go before dropping a 68-67 decision at George Washington on Dec. 3 to spoil what would have been a confidence-building win.
South Carolina at Seton Hall 9:00 PM ET

South Carolina looks to continue its unbeaten start to the season, but the 18th-ranked Gamecocks will have to do so without their best player when they face Seton Hall on Monday in the Under Armour Reunion at Madison Square Garden in New York. The Gamecocks will be without leading scorer Sindarius Thornwell for a second straight game as the senior guard continues an indefinite suspension for violating and undisclosed athletics department policy.
