December 03, 2017
Tulane at North Carolina 2:00 PM ET
North Carolina coach Roy Williams admitted recently that he probably made the schedule a bit more challenging than he should have early in the season, but the 11th-ranked Tar Heels are gaining from the experience. North Carolina faces another tough test before conference play with its sixth game in 11 days Sunday afternoon when improving Tulane visits the Dean Smith Center.
St. Francis (NY) at Notre Dame 2:00 PM ET
For the first time this season, Notre Dame needs to show how it can bounce back from a loss. The fifth-ranked Fighting Irish welcome St. Francis Brooklyn to town Sunday, three days after a humbling loss to No. 3 Michigan State.
Central Florida at Alabama 2:00 PM ET
High-scoring Alabama looks to keep rolling when it hosts Central Florida on Sunday afternoon. The Crimson Tide are off to their best start since 2012-13, winning six of seven out of the gate, and can open 7-1 for the first time since 2011-12.
Kansas State at Vanderbilt 2:30 PM ET

Kansas State has beaten up on overmatched foes at home, but the Wildcats will face their first road test Sunday at Vanderbilt. The Wildcats’ only setback has been a 92-90 neutral-site loss to Arizona State – their only matchup with a Power Five opponent.

Temple at George Washington 2:30 PM ET
Temple quietly has posted some quality wins this season and can add another solid victory Sunday when it visits George Washington. The Owls already have defeated Auburn, Clemson and, most recently, South Carolina and now aim to knock off their former Atlantic 10 rival.
George Mason at Auburn 3:00 PM ET
Fresh off an impressive 73-60 road victory over Dayton, Auburn opens a three-game homestand on Sunday with its second consecutive matchup with an Atlantic 10 team as George Mason comes to town. The Patriots came close to losing their third straight game on Wednesday but fought back from a four-point deficit in the final 7.1 seconds to defeat James Madison 76-72.
N.C. Asheville at Clemson 3:00 PM ET

Clemson looks to continue its best start in four years when the Tigers host UNC Asheville on Sunday. The Tigers aim to remain undefeated at home, while the Bulldogs hope for their fifth straight victory and a signature win over a Power Five program.

Mississippi Valley State at Oklahoma State 3:00 PM ET

Home-court advantage and roster depth has proven quite successful for Oklahoma State and first-year coach Mike Boynton. The Cowboys seek a sixth straight win at home to start the season when road-weary Mississippi Valley State visits Sunday.

Seton Hall at Louisville 4:00 PM ET
Kevin Willard will have a homecoming of sorts when No. 24 Seton Hall plays its first true road game of the season Sunday at No. 17 Louisville. Willard started his college playing career at Western Kentucky and spent seven years as an assistant coach with the Cardinals, who have won five straight against the Pirates.
Northwestern at Purdue 4:00 PM ET
Purdue looks to stay unbeaten at home this season when it faces Northwestern on Sunday. The Boilermakers began the defense of their Big Ten regular-season title with an 80-75 win against Maryland on Friday and hope to extend their conference home winning streak to eight games by downing the Wildcats for the fifth straight time after sweeping the season series the last two years.
Nebraska at Michigan St 4:30 PM ET
Two of the three Big Ten teams to come away from the Big Ten/ACC Challenge with victories face off when Nebraska travels to face No. 3 Michigan State in the league opener for both teams Sunday. The Cornhuskers defeated Boston College in their game on Wednesday, while the Spartans routed No. 5 Notre Dame in the final contest of the Challenge on Thursday.
Stanford at Long Beach St. 5:00 PM ET
Two teams experiencing similar growing pains meet Sunday as Stanford visits Long Beach State, which is hosting its second game in two days after losing 106-70 to Fresno State on Saturday. Stanford is hoping to build on a strong performance from last Wednesday, when the Cardinal snapped a four-game losing streak with a 70-54 victory over visiting Montana.
Tennessee at Georgia Tech 6:00 PM ET
Tennessee has displayed a solid inside-outside balance en route to five victories in its first six games, and entering Sunday’s road matchup at Georgia Tech looks for Grant Williams and Jordan Bowden to continue their strong play. Williams averages 16.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game while excelling in the paint, while Bowden leads the SEC by hitting 61 percent of his 3-point attempts.
Rutgers at Minnesota 6:00 PM ET
Minnesota and Rutgers were among the many teams to take it on the chin during the conference's poor showing in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, but both schools' losses as a result were a small blip in the overall scheme of things for a pair of teams who entered undefeated. The 12th-ranked Golden Gophers and Scarlet Knights attempt to bounce back when they square off in Minneapolis on Sunday in the Big Ten opener for both squads.
Coppin St. at Georgetown 6:30 PM ET
Another confidence-building game is on tap for Georgetown on Sunday when it hosts Coppin State in the BB&T Classic. The Hoyas have feasted on lesser opponents thus far in Patrick Ewing's first season as coach, and that trend should continue against the winless Eagles.
Nebraska Omaha at Washington 7:00 PM ET

Washington’s not-so-demanding early-season schedule will take a turn for the tougher over the next week with games against top-15-ranked Kansas and Gonzaga. But first, the Huskies get another mid-major tune-up, hosting struggling Summit League program Omaha on Sunday.

Maryland at Illinois 8:00 PM ET
Maryland and Illinois both dropped their Big Ten/ACC challenge games and then their conference openers, leaving the two teams desperate for a turnaround Sunday when the Fighting Illini host the Terrapins. Maryland has dropped three of four since a 5-0 start, including the 72-70 setback at Syracuse in the challenge and then an 80-75 defeat versus Purdue on Friday to begin Big Ten play.
Dayton at Mississippi State 8:00 PM ET
Mississippi State sophomore guard Tyson Carter fixed an inconsistency in his shooting stroke and hopes the adjustment continues to pay off when the Bulldogs host Dayton on Sunday. Carter scored a career-best 35 points in Thursday's 83-59 victory over North Dakota State that improved Mississippi State to 6-0 - its best start since the 2003-04 team began 13-0.
Detroit Mercy at UCLA 9:00 PM ET
UCLA and Detroit Mercy last met in the first round of the 1999 NCAA Tournament, when the 12th-seeded Titans pulled a 56-53 upset of the fifth-seeded Bruins in Indianapolis. The stakes will be considerably lower Sunday when the teams square off in a non-league battle at Pauley Pavilion, where No. 25 UCLA has gone 78-13 since the arena reopened in 2012.
