Preview Roundups
November 30, 2018
Wis.-Milwaukee at Buffalo 5:30 AM ET
With CJ Massinburg making a quick recovery, No. 20 Buffalo should be at full strength when it takes on Milwaukee on Friday in the Belfast Hall of Fame Classic in Northern Ireland. Massinburg returned from a knee injury to spark the Bulls off the bench in last week's victory over Marist and should be back in the starting lineup to face the Panthers.
Michigan St at Rutgers 6:00 PM ET
Michigan State begins defense of its Big Ten regular-season title from a season ago when it travels to Rutgers to open the conference campaign Friday. The No. 8 Spartans are coming off an overtime loss at Louisville on Tuesday, while the Scarlet Knights enter on a three-game winning streak, including Wednesday's 57-54 win at Miami.
Mississippi State at Dayton 7:00 PM ET
Throughout his long and distinguished coaching career, Ben Howland's teams have typically been very good defensively and that remains the case at Mississippi State. The fourth-year coach of the 25th-ranked Bulldogs has made offense more of a priority recently in practice and saw that emphasis pay off in his team's most recent contest - a trend he'd like to see continue as Mississippi State plays its first true road game of the season Friday at Dayton.
Radford at Texas 7:00 PM ET
After upsetting then-No. 7 North Carolina and leading much of the game against then-No. 11 Michigan State before falling in the championship game of the Las Vegas Invitational last week, Texas returned to the top 25 for the first time in two years on Monday. The 17th-ranked Longhorns kick off a six-game homestand on Friday night when they face defending Big South Tournament champion Radford.
Duquesne at Pittsburgh 7:00 PM ET

Pittsburgh lost its first game of the season Tuesday at No. 15 Iowa. However, that game, albeit a defeat, provided coach Jeff Capel with a better barometer of where his young team stands than any of the first six wins. The Panthers will try and bounce back after the tough loss when they play crosstown rival Duquesne on Friday in the 87th annual City Game at PPG Paints Arena.

Coastal Carolina at South Carolina 7:00 PM ET
South Carolina hosts Coastal Carolina on Friday desperate for some good news after a difficult week, in which the Gamecocks lost their best perimeter defender and were blown out on their home floor by a nonconference opponent. Starting forward Justin Minaya injured his right knee Sunday at practice and will be out for an undetermined period of time after surgery, and his absence had a ripple effect on the Gamecocks rotation in Monday’s 81-61 loss to Wofford.
Appalachian St. at East Carolina 7:00 PM ET
Jayden Gardner continues to do great things for East Carolina, which will host Appalachian State on Friday, but those things aren't necessarily translating to wins. The freshman had his second 30-point game of the season Tuesday in a loss to UNC Wilmington and will try to keep his streak of six straight games in double digits going against the Mountaineers.
Central Michigan at Texas Christian 7:30 PM ET
TCU's revived offense will be back in action Friday night when the Horned Frogs host Central Michigan. The Horned Frogs had a season-high 87 points on 60.7 percent shooting on Monday - the same day they fell out of the Top 25 - to beat Eastern Michigan.
Wisconsin at Iowa 8:00 PM ET

No. 15 Iowa looks to keep its perfect record intact when it hosts 22nd-ranked Wisconsin in the Big Ten opener for both teams on Friday. The Hawkeyes, who were picked to finish ninth in the preseason Big Ten media poll, edged Pittsburgh 69-68 in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge on Tuesday to improve to 6-0 for the first time since 2013-14, and hope to continue their encouraging start by beating the Badgers for the third consecutive time.

Colgate at South Florida 8:30 PM ET
Colgate is on the road for the third of six straight games Friday, as it heads to Tampa for its first-ever meeting with South Florida. The Raiders are looking to become the first Patriot League team to earn its sixth win as they are 1-1 on the trip with a loss to Syracuse and a win over Siena, while the Bulls are 2-1 on their current homestand, which ends with Colgate's visit, after a surprisingly tight 75-71 victory over one-win Stetson.
Oklahoma State at Minnesota 10:00 PM ET
Minnesota and Oklahoma State will square off Friday night as part of the first basketball event at U.S. Bank Stadium, home of the NFL's Minnesota Vikings. The matchup is one of four games involving small colleges and mid-majors as the new venue prepares to play host to the 2019 Final Four.
