Boston College looks to extend its winning streak to four games when it takes on Georgia Tech in the first round of the ACC tournament Tuesday at Greensboro, N.C. The 12th-seeded Eagles has knocked off North Carolina State, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest in succession with All-ACC first team pick Olivier Hanlan playing a lead role while averaging 25.4 points his last 10 games. Georgia Tech, the 13th seed, has dropped four straight contests and will be without its leading scorer.
Virginia Tech at Wake Forest 3:00 PM ET
Two first-year coaches in the league go after their initial ACC tournament victory when 14th-seeded Virginia Tech plays 11th-seed Wake Forest on Tuesday in the opening round at Greensboro, N.C. Danny Manning’s Demon Deacons won three of four games, including a 73-70 triumph over Virginia Tech, before dropping five of its last six. The Hokies showed some fight by taking No. 2 Duke to overtime in late February, but Buzz Williams’ team finished the regular season with seven straight losses.
Brigham Young at Gonzaga 9:00 PM ET
Gonzaga doesn't have to wait long to get a chance to exact revenge on BYU as the No. 7 Bulldogs meet the Cougars on Tuesday in the West Coast Conference tournament final in Las Vegas. BYU snapped a pair of Gonzaga winning streaks — 41 at home and 22 overall — with a 73-70 victory Feb. 28 and rides an eight-game winning streak into its second straight WCC final. The Bulldogs defeated the Cougars 75-64 to win the title last year — their 12th in the last 16 seasons.
