January 21, 2017
Vanderbilt at Florida 12:00 PM ET
No. 21 Florida aims to rebound from its first SEC loss on Saturday when it hosts a struggling Vanderbilt squad. The Gators won their first five league games and led South Carolina by seven at halftime on Wednesday before falling short in an ugly 57-53 setback.
Georgia at Texas A&M 12:00 PM ET
Georgia travels to Texas A&M on Saturday winners of three of its past four, but it is the way it handled that lone defeat in that stretch that showed Mark Fox how much his team has grown. The Bulldogs rebounded from a difficult overtime road loss at No. 21 Florida on Saturday to down Vanderbilt 76-68 at home on Tuesday, committing just six turnovers and scoring their final 11 points from the free throw line.
Nebraska at Rutgers 12:00 PM ET
Much like Rutgers' unlikely 11-1 open to the season, Nebraska's surprising 3-0 start in Big Ten play is quickly becoming a distant memory. The Cornhuskers attempt to end their three-game losing streak in conference action Saturday when they hit the road to face the only winless team in league action in the Scarlet Knights.
Penn St. at Purdue 12:00 PM ET
Purdue is tough to beat at home and the No. 22 Boilermakers look to add another victory to the Mackey Court total when they host Penn State on Saturday in Big Ten play. Purdue is 33-3 over its 36 contests at the venue and Tuesday's 91-68 trouncing of Illinois improved its record to 601-138 in the facility.
North Carolina at Boston College 12:00 PM ET
Ninth-ranked North Carolina has battled back from a loss in its ACC opener to join a first-place tie atop the conference and looks to avoid a letdown when it visits Boston College on Saturday afternoon. The Tar Heels have won five straight games since losing at Georgia Tech and coach Roy Williams earned his 800th victory in Monday’s 85-68 triumph against Syracuse.
Syracuse at Notre Dame 12:00 PM ET
No. 15 Notre Dame will look to stay hot from long range but with a better result when it hosts Syracuse on Saturday. The Fighting Irish made 15-of-21 from beyond the arc but still lost 83-80 Wednesday at No. 12 Florida State, snapping a seven-game winning streak.
Providence at Villanova 12:00 PM ET
Four straight double-digit wins have second-ranked Villanova back on the right track heading into Saturday's home matinee against Providence. The Wildcats lost at Butler earlier this month but have rebounded to defeat Marquette, Xavier, St. John's and Seton Hall by an average of 20 points.
Tulsa at South Florida 1:00 PM ET
Tulsa attempts to run its American Athletic Conference winning streak to four when it visits struggling South Florida on Saturday. The Golden Hurricane used a 39-13 first-half run to take charge in an 89-82 victory over Tulane in their most recent victory while the Bulls have lost six AAC games in a row and are 0-4 since Orlando Antigua was fired and replaced by interim coach Murry Bartow.
Texas at Kansas 2:00 PM ET
The best chance Texas may have Saturday afternoon in Lawrence is if Kansas is looking ahead to its next three games against top-10 teams. The top-ranked Jayhawks are looking for their 50th straight win inside Allen Fieldhouse and 18th straight overall this season, while the struggling Longhorns have dropped all seven games they have played outside of Austin this season.
Louisville at Florida St. 2:00 PM ET
After his team's most recent win, Florida State coach Leonard Hamilton called the ACC "the best basketball league ever assembled in the history of college basketball," and the Seminoles' recent string of opponents would seem to back up his assertion. No 12 Florida State attempts to win five of six during one of the most challenging stretches in league history Saturday when they host 11th-ranked Louisville.
Wake Forest at N.C. State 2:00 PM ET
There is no telling which North Carolina State team will show up for Saturday's ACC game against visiting Wake Forest. Will it be the Wolfpack squad that defeated then-No. 21 Virginia Tech by 26 points and proceeded to lose to No. 9 North Carolina by 51, or could it be the one that limited Pittsburgh to one field over the final eight minutes in Tuesday's victory?
Georgia Tech at Virginia 2:00 PM ET
Balance is a critical component for No. 16 Virginia, which has received contributions from multiple sources to win three games in a row entering Saturday’s home contest against Georgia Tech. Nine Cavaliers average at least 13 minutes and four points per game, and while only one player – senior London Perrantes – averages more than 10 points per game, Virginia entered the weekend holding opponents to a nation’s best 53.3 points per game.
Butler at DePaul 2:00 PM ET
Big second halves are becoming routine for No. 14 Butler. After playing two games in less than 48 hours and scoring a combined 121 points after intermission, the Bulldogs get four days of rest before hitting the road Saturday against DePaul.
Iowa St. at Oklahoma 2:00 PM ET
Oklahoma, fresh off an 89-87 overtime upset of No. 7 West Virginia on Wednesday, returns home to face Iowa State on Saturday afternoon. The Sooners have won two in a row since a seven-game losing streak while the Cyclones come in off back-to-back losses at TCU (84-77) and at home to No. 1 Kansas (76-72).
Oklahoma St. at Texas Tech 2:00 PM ET

Oklahoma State is in a tailspin, having lost its first six Big 12 games and 12 straight conference contests overall. The going won’t get any easier Saturday, either, as the Cowboys visit Texas Tech, which is 12-0 at home so far and has won 17 straight in Lubbock.

Illinois at Michigan 2:15 PM ET
Illinois looks to beat Michigan for the second time in 10 days when it travels to Ann Arbor on Saturday. The Fighting Illini shot the lights out in the 85-69 win against the Wolverines on Jan. 11, but have since dropped two straight games, including a 91-68 setback to No. 22 Purdue on Tuesday, and hope to bounce back by downing the Wolverines in back-to-back meetings for the first time since 2010-11.
Marquette at Creighton 2:30 PM ET
No. 7 Creighton will play its first game since losing star point guard Maurice Watson Jr. to an ACL tear when it hosts Marquette in a Big East clash Saturday afternoon. Watson, the nation's leader in assists with 8.5 per game, was lost for the season when he suffered the knee injury in a 72-67 win over No. 19 Xavier on Monday, leaving a massive void for the Bluejays.
Mississippi at Missouri 3:30 PM ET

Perhaps the best chance Missouri will have to snap its long losing streak comes Saturday, when it hosts a banged-up Ole Miss team. The struggling Tigers have dropped nine straight overall and 10 consecutive SEC contests but might be catching the Rebels at the right time, with two starters potentially sidelined.

Alabama at Auburn 4:00 PM ET
It has been 30 years since Alabama won the first three road games on its SEC schedule - but it's in good position to end that drought as it opens a two-game Georgia visit Saturday at Auburn. The Crimson TIde have won six of their last seven games following back-to-back triumphs over LSU and Missouri, and will resume their rivalry with an Auburn team that is off to a slow start in conference play.
Michigan St at Indiana 4:00 PM ET
Indiana looks to get back into the Big Ten race as well as extend a two-game winning streak when it hosts a young Michigan State squad Saturday afternoon. The Spartans are coming off a tough loss on the road to Ohio State on Sunday, while the Hoosiers held off Penn State on James Blackmon Jr.'s last-second 3-pointer Wednesday.
Colorado at Washington St. 4:00 PM ET

Washington State and Colorado are both headed in the wrong direction, but at least one will reverse its course Saturday when the Cougars host the Buffaloes. Washington State has dropped four straight, with the latest being its most lopsided loss of the season (88-47 to visiting Utah on Wednesday) while Colorado has lost six in a row to keep pace with Oregon

Arizona at UCLA 4:00 PM ET
The best matchup in college basketball can be found in Los Angeles this weekend as No. 3 UCLA hosts 13th-ranked Arizona in a nationally televised Pac-12 game on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats have passed each of their conference tests thus far, with the most challenging being a five-point win at California, while the Bruins have one blip on their resume - a last-second loss at No. 10 Oregon.
Cincinnati at Tulane 4:00 PM ET
No. 20 Cincinnati already owns a blowout victory over Tulane this season and will go for another one as it attempts to push its winning streak into double digits when it visits New Orleans on Saturday for an American Athletic Conference clash. The Bearcats have proven they can win in a variety of ways during their nine-game run, which includes a 92-56 home rout of the Green Wave on Jan. 1.
Wisconsin at Minnesota 4:30 PM ET
No. 17 Wisconsin looks to continue its recent dominance of Minnesota when it hits the road to face the Golden Gophers on Saturday. The Badgers have won five straight meetings with Minnesota, including the last two matchups in Minneapolis, and hope to continue their winning ways following victories against Ohio State (89-66) and Michigan (68-64) in the last eight days.
South Carolina at Kentucky 6:00 PM ET
Fifth-ranked Kentucky hosts No. 24 South Carolina on Saturday in a clash of the only two remaining undefeated SEC teams in conference play as it appears the Wildcats' two biggest obstacles are their own lack of discipline and focus. Kentucky is coming off an 88-81 victory at Mississippi State on Tuesday - a score much closer because of poor shot selection at times and 16 turnovers, but the Gamecocks are expected to get the Wildcats' undivided attention with their ferocious defense.
Mississippi St. at Tennessee 6:00 PM ET
After taking the SEC's top team to the wire, Mississippi State begins a softer portion of its schedule when it visits Tennessee on Saturday. The Bulldogs have shown some fight of late with a three-game winning streak and then a heartbreaking 88-81 loss to No. 5 Kentucky on Tuesday, and five of their next six opponents have losing records in league play.
Stanford at Oregon 6:00 PM ET
Both teams likely will be without their leading scorer when No. 10 Oregon hosts Stanford in a Pac-12 matchup on Saturday afternoon. Oregon wing Dillon Brooks didn't come out for the second half of Thursday's 86-63 victory over California after injuring his lower left leg, while forward Reid Travis sat out Stanford's win at Oregon State the same night after re-injuring his right shoulder in the team's prior game.
Houston at Southern Methodist 6:00 PM ET
SMU got 23 points from Shake Milton and hammered Connecticut 69-49 for its 16th straight victory at home in last game. The Mustangs look to extend that streak when they host Houston in an American Athletic Conference game Saturday.
West Virginia at Kansas St. 6:00 PM ET
One team is coming off an inspiring victory and the other will be trying to make amends for an upset loss when Kansas State hosts eighth-ranked West Virginia on Saturday in a Big 12 clash. Kansas State defeated Oklahoma State 96-88 on Wednesday for its first conference road win while the Mountaineers coughed up a double-digit lead before falling 89-87 to Oklahoma in overtime at home.
Portland at Gonzaga 8:00 PM ET
Count Mark Few as among the people fully surprised that his No. 4 Gonzaga squad is undefeated after 18 games. The Bulldogs have recorded those victories by an average of 22.2 points per game and they look to remain the nation's lone unbeaten team as they enter a back-to-back against visiting Portland on Saturday in West Coast Conference play.
Utah at Washington 8:00 PM ET
Utah’s improving zone defense faces another strong test Saturday as the Utes visit Washington and star point guard Markelle Fultz. The dynamic 6-4 freshman leads the Pac-12 in scoring at 23.1 points per game and had a career-high 37 points with eight assists and five rebounds in the Huskies’ 85-83 overtime win over Colorado on Wednesday.
Baylor at Texas Christian 8:00 PM ET
TCU, one of the best turnaround stories in college basketball this season, will try for its first win over a ranked opponent in two seasons when it hosts No. 6 Baylor on Saturday night. The Horned Frogs, who already have two more wins than they accumulated during the entire 2015-16 campaign when they finished 12-21, have lost their last 18 games against ranked foes.
Miami-Florida at Duke 8:15 PM ET

Not many coaches can claim to have a winning record against Duke, but Jim Larranaga will try to add to his impressive mark when he and Miami (Fla.) visit the 18th-ranked Blue Devils on Saturday. The Hurricanes are 4-2 against Duke under Larranaga after going 2-15 in the series prior to his arrival.

Louisiana State at Arkansas 8:30 PM ET
Arkansas has made a habit of winning close games this season, but it's hoping for a little more breathing room Saturday night as it hosts LSU in the resumption of their SEC rivalry. The Razorbacks pulled out a 62-60 road win over Texas A&M on Tuesday to improve to 4-0 this season in games decided by four points or fewer while LSU has dropped four in a row, most recently a 78-74 decision at Auburn.
California at Oregon St. 10:30 PM ET
California saw its three-game winning streak come to a screeching halt with Thursday’s 86-63 loss at Oregon, but the Bears have an excellent chance to bounce back Saturday at Oregon State, which is still seeking its first conference victory. The injury-plagued Beavers have dropped 11 of their last 12 games and rank last in the Pac-12 in scoring at 64.4 points per game.
Pepperdine at St. Mary's 11:00 PM ET
Saint Mary's has rebounded nicely from its blowout loss to West Coast Conference rival Gonzaga and continues its march toward a rematch when it hosts struggling Pepperdine on Saturday. "I didn't think there would be a hangover, but you never know," Gaels coach Randy Bennett told reporters after No. 23 Saint Mary's defeated Pacific 62-50 on Thursday - its first game since a 79-56 setback at No. 4 Gonzaga on Jan. 14. "We haven't lost many, so you don't know.''
