Falcons 24, Redskins 17: Michael Turner scored on an 13-yard run late in the fourth quarter and the Falcons improved to 5-0 for the first time in franchise history by holding off the Redskins at FedEx Field.

The Redskins (2-3) not only fell for the eighth straight time at home but also lost rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III to a mild concussion. Fellow rookie Kirk Cousins replaced Griffin and threw a 77-yard touchdown pass to Santana Moss to give Washington a 17-14 lead early in the fourth quarter. Cousins, a fourth-round pick out of Michigan State, was intercepted twice with under two minutes to play to seal the contest.

Matt Ryan was 34-for-52 for 342 yards. He threw a 1-yard touchdown passes to veteran tight end Tony Gonzalez to tie the game at 7-7 just before halftime. Ryan also hit Julio Jones with an 18-yard back-shoulder catch in the front corner of the end zone to give Atlanta a 14-10 lead early in the fourth quarter.

Griffin was injured while scrambling in the red zone on a hit by Atlanta's Sean Weatherspoon. He left the game after the drive with a cut lip, was immediately treated for a concussion and did not return. Griffin finished 11-for-17 for 95 yards.

Matt Bryant booted a 53-yard field goal to tie the game with 7:42 to play. Washington opened the scoring on a 26-yard interception return for a touchdown by Ryan Kerrigan, the second of his career.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Gonzalez's touchdown was the 98th of his career, tying him with Don Hutson on the all-time list. ... Washington's Alfred Morris finished with 115 yards on 19 carries. ...The last time Atlanta was 4-0 it went to the NFC Championship Game. ... Ryan entered the game the NFL's highest-rated passer at 112.1.
