Adrian Martinez went 23-of-30 passing for 242 yards and a touchdown to lead Nebraska to a 37-27 win at Purdue in a Big Ten game on Saturday in West Lafayette, Ind..

Nebraska (2-4, 2-4 Big Ten) won for the first time since beating Penn State in November, while Purdue (2-4, 2-4 Big Ten) lost its fourth straight.

Nebraska opened the scoring with 12:30 left in the first quarter on a 1-yard touchdown run by Dedrick Mills, a score that was set up after Nebraska's Levi Falck blocked a punt and recovered the ball at the Purdue 1-yard line.

After a 27-yard punt return by Cam Taylor-Britt and subsequent Purdue penalty gave Nebraska the ball at the Purdue 17-yard line, Nebraska took a 14-0 lead on a 13-yard touchdown run through a series of broken tackles by Martinez.

Trailing 20-3, Purdue cut the Nebraska lead to 20-10 with 10:04 remaining in the second quarter on a 20-yard touchdown pass from Jack Plummer to King Doerue.

Nebraska responded, mounting a 65-yard scoring drive and taking a 27-10 lead with 6:13 left until halftime on a 10-yard touchdown pass from Martinez to Wyatt Liewer.

Purdue closed within 27-13 at halftime on a 27-yard field goal on the final play of the first half by J.D. Dellinger.

Nebraska took the second-half kickoff and mounted a 75-yard drive, grabbing a 34-13 lead with 10:05 left in the third quarter on a 1-yard touchdown run by Martinez.

Purdue rallied, closing to within 34-27 after a 20-yard touchdown pass from Plummer to Payne Durham with 1:29 left in the third quarter and an 89-yard touchdown pass from Plummer to David Bell with 12:16 left in the game.

But Nebraska quelled any Purdue momentum, mounting a 79-yard scoring drive and taking a 37-27 lead with 7:04 left on a 32-yard field goal by Connor Culp.

Purdue committed 11 penalties for 126 yards and had minus-2 yards rushing.
