Kyle Trask threw two third-quarter touchdown passes to help No. 11 Florida defeat Missouri 23-6 in a Southeastern Conference game Saturday at Columbia, Mo.

Trask, a redshirt junior, was 23 of 35 for 282 yards with scoring passes to Josh Hammond and Lamical Perine. Evan McPherson kicked field goals of 47, 39 and 22 yards for the Gators (9-2, 6-2).

The Tigers (5-5, 2-4) lost their fourth straight game but their first in six home games. They have not scored a touchdown in the past nine quarters.

Missouri's Kelly Bryant finished 25 of 39 for 204 yards with one interception. The graduate transfer from Clemson returned after missing last week's loss at Georgia due to a hamstring injury suffered two weeks earlier at Kentucky.

Missouri punted 10 times to make it consecutive games of nine or more punts for the first time since 1999.

Florida went ahead 20-6 on Perine's 15-yard TD reception at 2:58 of the third quarter. McPherson added a 22-yard field goal at 10:37 of the fourth quarter for the final points.

Florida held Missouri to 256 total yards. The Tigers' leading rusher was Larry Rountree, who gained 30 yards on seven carries.

Florida led 6-3 after a first half dominated by the defenses. The Gators converted just 1-of-8 third-down tries, and Missouri was 1 of 7. Missouri took one snap in the Gators' red zone in the first half -- from the 19 on Tucker McCann's 37-yard field goal in the second quarter. Florida ran just four plays from inside the Tigers' 20-yard line.

McPherson kicked a 47-yard field goal at 12:11 of the first quarter and a 39-yarder at 7:34 of the second.

McCann's field goal 9:36 of the second quarter capped a 71-yard drive.

Trask's 34-yard scoring pass to Hammond gave Florida a 13-3 lead with 11:56 left in the third quarter. McCann's 28-yard field goal with 6:49 remaining in the quarter cut Missouri's deficit to 13-6.
