Travis Etienne rushed for a career-high 212 yards and two touchdowns as No. 4 Clemson rolled past Wofford 59-14 Saturday afternoon at Clemson's Memorial Stadium.

Etienne, a junior running back, scored on runs of 47 and 86 yards, giving him 48 for his career and eclipsing the school record for rushing touchdowns held by James Davis (47 from 2005-08).

Etienne amassed his yardage on only nine carries for an average of 23.6 yards per attempt and pushed his season total to 1,102 yards. He became the first player in Clemson history to have three 200-yard rushing games in a career.

Sophomore quarterback Trevor Lawrence completed 12 of 16 passes for 218 yards and three touchdowns as the Tigers improved to 9-0 overall. Clemson extended the nation's longest active winning streak to 24 in a row.

Wofford, which entered the game ranked No. 20 in the Football Championship Subdivision and tied for first place in the Southern Conference, fell to 5-3.

Clemson jumped out to a 21-0 lead with three scores in a seven-plus-minute span of the first quarter. Amari Rodgers caught a 35-yard pass from Lawrence, Lyn-J Dixon scored on a 19-yard run and Etienne added his first score from 47 yards out.

The Tigers tacked on 21 points in the second quarter, getting Etienne's 86-yard run, a 22-yard pass from Lawrence to Tee Higgins, and a 2-yard run by Lawrence to push their halftime advantage to 42-0.

Clemson extended its lead to 49-0 when Lawrence and Justyn Ross teamed up for a 34-yard scoring pass before Wofford got on the board with a 20-yard touchdown run by Ryan Lovelace with 6:36 left in the third quarter.

The Tigers had 702 yards of offense, amassing more than 600 yards for the fourth time this season and second time in as many games.

Wofford, which entered the game ranked No. 2 in the FCS in rushing at 361.7 yards per game, was held to 139 yards on the ground by Clemson. The Terriers had 256 total yards and 10 first downs.
