Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa threw four touchdown passes and No. 1 Alabama rolled to a 47-28 victory over No. 24 Texas A&M in a matchup of Southeastern Conference West teams Saturday in College Station, Texas.

A crowd of 106,769, the second-biggest in Kyle Field history, saw the Crimson Tide (6-0, 3-0 SEC) spot the Aggies (3-3, 1-2 SEC) an early touchdown before responding with 24 consecutive points.

The Crimson Tide thwarted Texas A&M's late comeback bid with running back Brian Robinson Jr.'s 2-yard touchdown run and a blocked punt for a touchdown early in the fourth quarter.

Tagovailoa's 11th career outing with at least four touchdown tosses gave the junior 30 for the season and a school-record 81 for his career, breaking a tie with AJ McCarron in the category. He also threw his first interception of the season, ending a streak of 185 pass attempts without a pick.

Sophomore receiver Jaylen Waddle had a big day for the Tide with his first career touchdown reception and punt returns of 28, 15, 43, 42 yards. Running back Najee Harris rushed for 114 yards and had a touchdown reception.

Aggies quarterback Kellen Mond rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown and passed for 264 yards and two touchdowns, both to tight end Jalen Wydermyer. He also ran for a 2-point conversion.

The Aggies opened with a 15-play, 75-yard drive that consumed more than eight minutes and ended on Mond's sneak from a yard out.

But the Tide scored on their first four possessions with Tagovailoa throwing touchdown passes of 31 yards to Waddle, 47 to DeVonta Smith, and 16 to Harris, and backup kicker Joseph Bulovas booting a 35-yard field goal.

Their fifth drive came up empty when freshman safety Demani Richardson picked off Tagovailoa's pass in the end zone. The Aggies cashed in with a field goal to make it a 24-13 game at the half.
