Temperature: 83°

Kellen Mond outdueled Feleipe Franks in a battle of freshman quarterbacks on Saturday night as Texas A&M came from behind to down Florida 19-17 in Gainesville.

Daniel LaCamera drilled a 32-yard field goal with 58 seconds remaining to put the Aggies up for good. Texas A&M (5-2, 3-1 SEC) sealed the win with a Tyrel Dodson interception.

But Mond stole the show by putting the Aggies on his back with 180 passing yards and 54 yards on the ground.

Franks showed off his own wheels for Florida (3-3, 3-2), rushing for 82 yards. Almost all of them came via a 79-yard rumble toward the end of the third quarter for the Gators' longest play from scrimmage this year. He accounted for 211 yards.

That set up Dre Massey's first career touchdown on the first play of the fourth quarter. The 6-yard score put Florida up 17-10, breaking the 10-10 tie that the teams shared after three quarters.

All told, the Gators rushed for 371 yards, including 97 by freshman Malik Davis.

Texas A&M appeared to stop Florida on fourth-and-1 late in the second quarter, but an official's error forced a replay of down, which the Gators converted. That set up a 15-yard Lamical Perine rushing touchdown with 1:41 remaining to put Florida up 10-3 heading into the half.

The Aggies were able to get to Franks often. Texas A&M defenders sacked the freshman five times, led by Otaro Alaka with five sacks and eight tackles for loss. The junior from Houston (12 tackles) joined fellow linebacker Tyrel Dodson (11 takedowns, and a half-sack) with double-digit tackles.

Texas A&M had its share of struggles with the Florida front seven -- namely with defensive tackle Taven Bryan. The junior routinely harassed Mond and the Aggies' offensive line to the tune of seven tackles, 1.5 of them for a loss.

Senior Florida linebacker Jordan Sherit left the game on a cart midway through the fourth quarter with an apparent leg injury.
