Florida 38, No. 8 Georgia 20: Kelvin Taylor rushed for a career-best 197 yards and two touchdowns while Matt Jones also set a career high with 192 rushing yards while scoring twice as the Gators routed the Bulldogs in SEC play at Jacksonville, Fla.

Michael McNeely scored on a fake field-goal run that ignited a run of 31 consecutive points for Florida (4-3, 3-3). The Gators rolled up 418 rushing yards – fifth-most in school history – while snapping a three-game skid in the all-time series against Georgia.

Nick Chubb rushed for 156 yards and one score while also catching a TD pass for the Bulldogs (6-2, 4-2). Hutson Mason was 26-of-41 for 319 yards and a scoring toss for Georgia, which had its five-game winning streak halted.

Chubb scored on a 39-yard run less than six minutes into the game to give the Bulldogs the lead before the Gators took over. Momentum turned when Florida lined up for a 39-yard field goal and McNeely, the holder, took the snap and ran 21 yards for a TD with 8:25 left in the first half to forge a tie.

Taylor’s 2-yard touchdown rush with 5:06 left in the half gave the Gators a 14-7 lead and Jones tacked on a 44-yard scoring run early in the third quarter. Jones scored from 1 yard out early in the fourth to make it 31-7 and the Bulldogs added Mason’s 10-yard TD pass to Chubb before Taylor put an exclamation point on the big victory by running for a 65-yard touchdown with 2:11 remaining.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Chubb lost a fumble in the third quarter, Georgia’s second of the season. … The Gators started freshman QB Treon Harris (3-of-6, 27 yards) over the demoted Jeff Driskel. … The Bulldogs again were without RB Todd Gurley, who missed his third straight game due to a suspension for accepting cash for autographed memorabilia.
