No. 24 Duke 51, Pittsburgh 48 (2 OT): Anthony Boone threw three touchdown passes and his backup Thomas Sirk ran 5 yards for the winning score in the second overtime as the visiting Blue Devils edged the Panthers.

Boone completed 23-of-31 for 266 yards and ran 12 yards for a score in the first overtime as Duke (7-1, 3-1 ACC) won its third consecutive contest. DeVon Edwards scored on a 99-yard kickoff return and Jamison Crowder caught nine passes for 165 yards and two touchdowns for the Blue Devils.

James Conner ran 38 times for a career-high 263 yards and three touchdowns, including a 14-yard jaunt in the first overtime to tie the game for Pittsburgh (4-5, 2-3). Chad Voytik completed 16-of-24 for 236 yards and two touchdowns as the Panthers lost for the fifth time in six games.

Edwards sprinted down the left sideline untouched to give the Blue Devils a 38-31 lead with 13:07 left in the contest. The Panthers countered with a 15-play drive that ended with a 1-yard TD run by Conner with 5:18 to go and had a chance to win it, but Chris Blewitt hooked a 26-yard field goal as time expired in regulation.

Boone threw touchdown passes to Crowder (39 yards) and Shaun Wilson (10) as Duke jumped out to a 14-7 lead after one quarter. Voytik responded with a 13-yard TD run early in the second and connected with J.P. Holtz for a pair of scoring strikes, but Sirk ran 1 yard to tie the game at 28 on the final play of the first half.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Crowder passed Sammy Watkins (240) for second on the ACC’s all-time list with 247 career receptions and has caught at least two passes in 36 consecutive games. … Conner registered his sixth 100-yard rushing game of the season and his 10th overall. … Sirk finished with two touchdowns and Boone tied Jerry Barger (1951-54) for the school record in career victories as a starting quarterback with 17.
