No. 19 Utah 24, No. 21 USC 21: Kaelin Clay caught a 1-yard touchdown pass from Travis Wilson with eight seconds remaining as the Utes rallied to beat the visiting Trojans in the Pac-12 game.

Devontae Booker rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown late in the third quarter that gave the Utes (6-1, 3-1 Pac-12) a short-lived lead. Wilson completed 18-of-32 passes for 193 yards and a touchdown, connecting six times with Westlee Tonga for 71 yards.

USC quarterback Cody Kessler completed 24-of-32 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns, hitting Nelson Agholor 10 times for 110 yards. Javorius Allen ran for 101 yards to pace the ground attack for the Trojans (5-3, 4-2).

Wilson ran 17 yards to the USC 1-yard line and the Utes took their final timeout with 10 seconds left after Booker was stopped for no gain on first-and-goal, setting up the go-ahead touchdown pass. Utah had gotten the ball back with 2:08 left and 73 yards from the end zone.

USC took a 21-17 lead when Kessler found Darreus Rogers for a 4-yard touchdown pass with 10:18 remaining, capping a 12-play, 73-yard drive that took 5:31 off the clock. The Utes had moved out front late in the third quarter on Booker’s 24-yard touchdown run.

GAME NOTEBOOK: On the second play of the game, the Trojans threw a screen pass that many thought was an incomplete pass but it was ruled a fumbled lateral and Utah defensive back Davion Orphey scooped up the loose ball and returned it 53 yards for a touchdown. … USC's Adoree’ Jackson was questionable to play with a hip flexor but returned a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown and also recovered a Utah fumble near the Trojans’ end zone in the second half, one of two fumbles the Utes lost inside the USC 5-yard line. … The 47,619 in attendance was the largest crowd ever at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
