No. 5 Auburn 41, No. 15 LSU 7: Nick Marshall passed for two touchdowns and ran for two as the host Tigers cruised in an SEC West clash.

Cameron Artis-Payne racked up 126 yards on 24 carries and Sammie Coates caught four passes for a career-high 144 yards and a score as Auburn (5-0, 2-0 SEC) picked up its 300th victory in SEC play. Marshall finished 14-of-22 for 207 yards and the two scores and added 119 yards and two TDs on 16 rushing attempts.

LSU freshman Brandon Harris struggled in his first start under center, going 3-of-13 for 58 yards before being replaced by Anthony Jennings. Kenny Hilliard scored on a 1-yard run for LSU (4-2, 0-2), which managed only 280 total yards and was 0-for-13 on third down.

After Daniel Carlson's 46-yard field goal, Marshall connected with Coates for a 56-yard scoring strike and added a 7-yard TD run to make it 17-0 less than 12 minutes into the game. Hilliard's plunge cut it to 17-7, but Marshall hit C.J. Uzomah for a 9-yard TD and went 29 yards on a draw play to make it 31-7 at halftime.

Carlson tacked on a 42-yard field goal midway through the third quarter, and Corey Grant busted a 12-yard TD run in the fourth to cap the scoring. Auburn's defense was dominant, holding LSU to 4.74 yards per play.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Auburn scored touchdowns on all three of its trips inside the red zone, improving to 21-for-21 this season with 17 TDs and four field goals. … Auburn matched its highest scoring total and largest margin of victory against LSU, both of which came in a 41-7 victory in 1999. … LSU has been outscored 48-10 in the first half of its two SEC games.
