No. 7 Texas A&M 58, Southern Methodist 6:
Kenny Hill threw for 265 yards and two touchdowns in the first half as the visiting Aggies romped to start 4-0 for the first time since 2006.

Trey Williams rushed for 66 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries and Jeremy Tabuyo hauled in a pair of long scoring strikes for Texas A&M to spoil the debut of Mustangs interim coach Tom Mason. Malcome Kennedy had six catches for 76 yards as the Aggies won their sixth straight against SMU (0-3) and improved to 13-0-1 in the series since 1984.

Redshirt freshman Kolney Cassel finished 1-for-5 for two yards in his first career start before he was replaced by walk-on Garrett Krstich, who wound up 13-of-24 for 137 yards in the first game for the Mustangs since June Jones resigned following a lopsided loss at North Texas.

Texas A&M's quick-strike offense put together five first-half touchdown drives lasting under two minutes and ran up 31 points before SMU managed a first down. Hill's 30-yard scoring pass to Tabuyo with 1:15 left in the opening quarter made it 17-0 before Trey Williams and Brandon Williams each added a rushing touchdown.

The Mustangs finally got on the scoreboard with a morale-building 15-play drive culminating in a 29-yard field goal by Cody Rademacher, but the Aggies answered with a 70-yard bomb from Hill to Josh Reynolds down the right sideline for a 38-3 halftime edge. Tabuyo made it 48-3 when he hauled in a 50-yard strike from freshman Kyle Allen early in the third.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Hill, the first quarterback in school history to throw for over 1,000 yards in the first three games of a season, was intercepted in the first quarter – ending a streak of 149 attempts without a pick to start his career. ... Krstich (five) and Cassel were sacked a combined eight times, giving the Mustangs a nation-worst 21 on the season. ... The Aggies have an average victory margin of 39.5 points in their last four meetings versus SMU, which has been outscored 146-12 this season.
