Navy 31, Temple 24: Keenan Reynolds rushed for 173 yards and two touchdowns as the visiting Midshipmen held off a late rally by the Owls.

Reynolds finished 4-of-8 for 30 yards while Geoffrey Whiteside and DeBrandon Sanders each added a rushing touchdown for Navy (1-1), which finished with 517 yards of total offense - 487 on the ground. Noah Copeland chipped in with 84 yards on 12 carries for the Midshipmen, who converted 6-of-10 attempts on third down.

P.J. Walker went 29-of-49 for 240 yards, two touchdowns and an interception while adding 71 yards on the ground for Temple (1-1). Sharif Finch registered a defensive score while Romond Deloatch and Jalen Fitzpatrick caught a touchdown pass apiece for the Owls, who have lost four of the last five meetings with Navy.

Temple took an early 7-0 lead when Finch batted down Reynolds' pitch and recovered the fumble in the end zone before Navy stormed back with 17 consecutive points, highlighted by Reynolds' 48-yard touchdown run. The Owls cut the deficit to 17-14 when Deloatch hauled in a six-yard touchdown pass with three seconds remaining in the first half.

The Midshipmen regained their 10-point cushion after Reynolds' 3-yard run capped a 14-play, 75-yard drive to open up the second half. Navy pulled away by 17 following Sanders' 24-yard scamper before Temple scored 10 straight points to make it 31-24, and the Midshipmen were forced to sweat out the final minute as the Owls drove all the way down to the Navy 24 before time expired.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Navy has rushed for 300 or more yards in eight straight games, which is a program record. … Temple has forced 10 turnovers in its first two games of the season. … The Midshipmen improved to 11-0 all-time at Lincoln Financial Field.
