Arizona 35, Utah 24: Ka’Deem Carey rushed for a season-high 236 yards on 40 carries and the host Wildcats notched their first Pac-12 win of the season.

Carey surpassed the 100-yard mark for the ninth straight game, totaling 102 yards in the first half as Arizona (4-2, 1-2 Pac-12) built a 20-7 lead. B.J. Denker balanced the offense by completing 18-of-30 passes for 168 yards and a touchdown while also rushing for 51 yards and two scores.

The Utes (4-3, 1-3) rushed for 172 yards and were led by 56 from Lucky Radley. Utah was left without starting quarterback Travis Wilson, who injured his throwing hand late in the first half, and Adam Schulz threw for 142 yards and a touchdown in relief.

The Utes erased the 13-point halftime deficit after Kevin York scored on a 1-yard touchdown run and Schulz found Sean Fitzgerald for a 55-yard touchdown pass with 9:08 left in the third quarter. Denker then orchestrated a seven-play scoring drive that was capped by his 7-yard touchdown pass to Nate Phillips, followed by Denker’s two-point conversion run for a 28-21 lead with a 13:32 left.

Wilson was intercepted twice in the second quarter, the first returned 14 yards for a touchdown by Marquis Flowers and the second leading to Denker’s 1-yard touchdown run, extending the lead to 20-7 before Jake Smith’s extra-point was blocked. Carey clinched the win with a 44-yard touchdown run with 1:30 left.
