The Huskies led 11-6 at halftime and came out strong in the third quarter with a 14-play, 95-yard drive capped by Price’s 1-yard pass to Austin Seferian-Jenkins. Arizona pulled within five later in the stanza on Denker’s 7-yard touchdown run but Washington answered with a 10-play, 90-yard drive with Sankey scoring from a yard out with 1:25 left in the third and put the game away with Jesse Callier’s 2-yard run with 3:34 remaining.

Price hit Keith Smith on a 7-yard scoring pass in the first quarter and the lead increased to 8-0 when Arizona punter Drew Riggleman was unable to catch a punt snap in pouring rain and the ball rolled out of the end zone for a safety. Travis Coons booted a 42-yard field goal 49 seconds into the second quarter and the Wildcats finally got on the board on Carey’s 3-yard run six seconds before halftime.
