Alabama 42, Missouri 10
When: 3:30 PM ET, Saturday, October 13, 2012
Where: Faurot Field, Columbia, Missouri
Temperature: 73°
Head Official: Thomas Ritter
Attendance: 71004

No. 1 Alabama 42, Missouri 10: Eddie Lacy rushed for 177 yards and three touchdowns, and T.J. Yeldon added 144 yards and two scores on the ground as the top-ranked Crimson Tide went on the road to rout SEC newcomer Missouri.

The game was delayed because of lightning for about 40 minutes after Yeldon's 15-yard touchdown run made it 27-0. The Crimson Tide (6-0, 3-0 SEC) added the extra point after the delay, but the Tigers controlled the remainder of the half and the third quarter.

Marcus Murphy returned the ensuing kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown and Missouri added a field goal on its first possession of the second half.

The Tigers (3-4, 0-4) couldn't get any closer as they sputtered on offense without injured quarterback James Franklin (knee), managing only 129 total yards against the nation's top defense. Redshirt freshman quarterback Corbin Berkstresser was 12-of-29 for 126 yards with two interceptions.

Crimson Tide quarterback A.J. McCarron was efficient, completing 16 of 21 for 171 yards, but the running game was dominant in racking up 362 yards on 47 attempts (7.7 average). Alabama has won its first six games by an average of 33 points.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Missouri forced two turnovers and has at least one takeaway in 25 consecutive games. … Alabama has held 20 consecutive opponents to less than 300 total yards. During that span, the Crimson Tide have held 12 teams to less than 200. … Alabama K Jeremy Shelley made all six of his extra-point tries and did not attempt a field goal. He is 30-for-30 on PATs and 7-for-7 on field goals this season.
