Where: Husky Stadium, Seattle, Washington
Temperature: 51°

Washington's Keith Price set a school record for touchdown passes in a season as the Huskies outlasted visiting Washington State 38-21 on Saturday for their third straight victory in the Apple Cup.

Price threw for three touchdowns - including a pair to Kasen Williams - in the 104th meeting between The Evergreen State teams as the Huskies took a 67-31-6 lead in the series that began with a 5-5 tie in 1900.

Price has 29 touchdown passes this season, breaking the mark of 28 set by Cody Pickett in 2002. He will lead Washington (7-4, 5-4 Pac-12 North), which snapped a four-game losing streak, to its second straight bowl game after a seven-year hiatus.

Senior Marshall Lobbestael was 29-of-42 for 342 yards and three touchdowns - two to Marquess Wilson - in his final game for Washington State (4-8, 2-7), which will not play in a bowl for the eighth straight season.

Chris Polk's 22-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter capped a three-play, 58-yard drive, and gave Washington a 28-14 lead and Price the record. Polk's 1-yard run made it 38-21.

After Washington's Eric Folk missed a 37-yard field goal with 12:50 left the second quarter, the Cougars tied the game at 14 with consecutive scoring drives.

Washington went back in front when Price and Williams hooked up for 21 yards with 25 seconds left in the half. Price finished 21-of-29 for 291 yards.

The Huskies took a 7-0 lead 3:23 into the game when Thomas Tutogi blocked a punt and Jesse Callier ran it in from the 2 after catching the carom.

Jared Karstetter had eight catches for 76 yards and a touchdown, and finished his collegiate career with a reception in a school-record 39 straight games.

Polk, who rushed for 284 yards in year's 35-28 victory over Washington State, had 100 on Saturday.

The game was played for the first time at CenturyLink Field, home of the Seattle Seahawks, because Husky Stadium is being renovated.
