Ryan Broyles became the NCAA’s all-time leader in career receptions and No. 1 Oklahoma cruised to a 47-17 victory over host Kansas on Saturday.

Broyles entered the game with 313 receptions, and needed four to pass Purdue’s Taylor Stubblefield. He reached that midway through the second quarter when Landry Jones found him wide open down the right sideline for a 57-yard touchdown that gave the Sooners a 24-10 lead.

Broyles finished with 13 catches and a career-high 215 yards as the Sooners (6-0, 3-0 Big 12) defeated Kansas by double digits for the seventh straight time. Broyles’ 47-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter put Oklahoma on top 40-17 and sealed the Sooners’ 11th consecutive win.

Kansas (2-4, 0-3) entered the game allowing a nation-worst 556 yards per game, and the Jayhawks gave up 608 yards. They also allowed at least 42 points for the fifth straight game.

After a sloppy first half, Oklahoma’s defense stiffened after the break. The Jayhawks had no points - and no first downs - on the Sooners’ defense in the second half until a meaningless drive at the end of the game.

Kansas finished with only 11 second-half yards.

Walk-on running back Dominique Whaley finished with 30 rushes for 165 yards and a touchdown for Oklahoma, which won the game following the Red River Rivalry against Texas for the 13th straight year.
