The game was delayed 3 hours, 6 minutes because of severe weather and did not start until 12:16 a.m. local time.

Oklahoma State takes a six-game road winning streak into Saturday's Big 12 Conference opener at Texas A&M.

Tulsa quarterback G.J. Kinne, the 2010 Conference USA Player of the Year, left the game in the first quarter with an apparent knee injury. Kinne was hurt following a 23-yard run when he was hit late out of bounds by Daytawion Lowe, who received a 15-yard penalty.

Justin Gilbert's 96-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the first quarter and two Randle touchdowns in the second helped the Cowboys to a 31-6 halftime lead. Gilbert had an interception in the second quarter.

Tulsa scored 13 points in 8 seconds in the third quarter. Ja'Terian Douglas had an 80-yard touchdown run and after the Golden Hurricane recovered the ensuing onside kick, Kalen Henderson connected with Bryan Burnham for a 43-yard score to make it 45-19.

Douglas (173 yards, two touchdowns) and Trey Watts combined for 332 yards rushing as Tulsa (1-2) lost its fifth straight to Oklahoma State.

Oklahoma State's Justin Blackmon had his NCAA-record streak of 100-yard receiving games snapped at 14. He had seven catches for 57 yards and a touchdown.
