Tennessee continued its late-season surge Saturday night, riding two Tyler Bray touchdown passes to a 24-10 victory at Vanderbilt.

The Volunteers (5-6, 2-5 Southeastern Conference) have won three games in a row since a four-game midseason losing streak. Bray, a freshman who was named the starting quarterback three games ago, finished 16-for-27 for 232 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.

Bray capped a five-play, 80-yard drive with a 15-yard touchdown pass to Justin Hunter with 4:12 left in the first quarter, giving the Volunteers a 7-0 lead. Bray’s 20-yard touchdown pass to Denarius Moore with 6:07 to go before halftime made it 14-0 Tennessee. In three games as a starter, Bray is 53-for-94 for 880 yards with 10 touchdowns.

The Volunteers also got a 28-yard field goal from Daniel Lincoln early in the fourth quarter. Tauren Poole finished with 99 yards rushing, including a 28-yard touchdown run with 1:22 left.

The win was Tennessee's fifth straight win over Vanderbilt and their 27th in the last 28 meetings

Vanderbilt (2-9, 1-7) lost its sixth consecutive game. The Commodores got on the board on a 31-yard field goal from Ryan Fowler on the final play of the first half, and pulled within 17-10 on Jared Funk’s 16-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Matthews with 2:33 left.

Tennessee plays host to Kentucky on Saturday to end the regular season, needing a victory to become bowl eligible. Vanderbilt ends the regular season Saturday at home against Wake Forest.
