When: 3:30 PM ET, Saturday, October 16, 2010
Where: Jones AT&T Stadium, Lubbock, Texas
Temperature: 74°

Kendall Hunter had a 100-yard rushing day, Brandon Weeden had a 300-yard passing day and 18th-ranked Oklahoma State rolled to a 34-17 victory over Texas Tech.

It was the Cowboys’ first victory in Lubbock since 1944, and the losing drought seemed destined to end from the start.

Oklahoma State jumped out to an early 21-0 lead in the first quarter. The Cowboys rushed for all three scores, including a 15-yard run from Hunter and 4-yard runs from Joseph Randle and Jeremy Smith.

Texas Tech didn’t go away, though. The Red Raiders pulled to within seven, 21-14, in the second quarter. Baron Batch had a one-yard touchdown run, and then Texas Tech scored on a 28-yard pass from Taylor Potts to Cornelius Douglas.

But, the Cowboys ended the half with a late field goal to take a 24-14 lead into the locker room.

In the second half, Oklahoma State pulled away for good. Weeden connected with wide receiver Justin Blackmon on a 62-yard touchdown pass to give the Cowboys a 31-14 lead.
