No. 12 Oregon 30, Texas 7: Marcus Mariota passed for 253 yards and a touchdown and added 133 yards on the ground as the Ducks spoiled coach Mack Brown's swan song with the Longhorns in the Valero Alamo Bowl in San Antonio.

Avery Patterson and Derrick Malone each returned Case McCoy interceptions for touchdowns for Oregon (11-2), which held the Longhorns to 236 total yards. Josh Huff caught five passes for 104 yards and a touchdown for the Ducks.

Malcolm Brown rushed for 130 yards on 26 carries for Texas (8-5), but the Longhorns couldn't get anything going in the passing game. McCoy finished 8-of-17 for 48 yards with the two interceptions and freshman Tyrone Swoopes was 1-of-6 for 8 yards.

The Longhorns did a decent job of slowing down Oregon's high-powered offense, but the Ducks' defense won the day. Patterson picked off McCoy and went 37 yards to open the scoring, and Malone returned an interception 38 yards for a TD to cap the night.

McCoy's 1-yard TD run capped a 79-yard drive and pulled the Longhorns within 10-7 late in the first quarter, but it was all Ducks from there. Mariota's 16-yard strike to Huff gave Oregon a 20-7 halftime lead and Texas was shut out in the second half.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Oregon K Matt Wogan made field goals of 25, 32 and 39 yards and missed from 32 yards. … Mariota briefly surpassed his career high of 135 rushing yards before taking a sack that dropped him two yards below the mark. … Brown finished with a 158-48 record in 16 seasons at Texas.
