B.J. Baylor capped an 80-yard drive with a 13-yard touchdown run with 4:41 to play Saturday afternoon, allowing Oregon State to overtake host California 21-17 for a Pac-12 Conference win in Berkeley.

Jake Luton threw two first-half touchdown passes and Jaydon Grant recorded a key interception for the Beavers (3-4, 2-2), who won their second straight Pac-12 road game.

Cal (4-3, 1-3), which rallied from a 14-0 deficit to lead 17-14, dropped its third straight after a 4-0 start.

Oregon State hadn't scored since the 4:33 mark of the second period before its game-winning drive, which began after a Cal punt.

Artavis Pierce had a 20-yard run and an 11-yard reception, both for first downs, during the 12-yard drive, which Baylor capped with his touchdown run that produced a 21-17 lead.

Spencer Brasch replaced an ineffective Devon Modster on Cal's ensuing possession and completed a 17-yard pass to Nikko Remigio on his first attempt, advancing the Golden Bears to their 48-yard line.

But two plays later, Brasch had his pass deflected and then intercepted by Grant, giving the ball back to Oregon State with just 4:07 to go.

The Golden Bears didn't get the ball again until only 57 seconds remained, and advanced just to its 21 before Brasch was sacked on the last play of the game.

Luton completed 18 of 34 passes for 174 yards, including scoring passes covering 7 yards to Pierce in the first quarter and 4 yards to Isaiah Hodgins in the second period.

Pierce was the game's leading rusher with 80 yards on 23 carries.

Modster went 12 for 27 for 151 yards before his fourth-quarter benching. His 33-yard TD pass to Jordan Duncan with 32 seconds remaining in the third quarter put Cal on top 17-14.

Modster also rushed for 76 yards on 19 carries.

Each team finished with 282 yards of offense.
