WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Army scored two touchdowns in the last 12 minutes and churned out 238 rushing yards to defeat host Wake Forest 21-13 in Saturday's non-conference game at BB&T Field.
Army quarterback Ahmad Bradshaw ran 11 yards for a touchdown with 11:45 remaining to cap an 88-yard drive and, after defensive back Jaylon McClinton's interception, the Black Knights (5-3) kept the ball for 12 plays and more than 6 1/2 minutes before fullback Darnell Woolfolk plowed in for a 6-yard touchdown run and a 21-10 lead with 2:54 to play.
The Demon Deacons pulled within one possession on Mike Weaver's 34-yard field goal with 1:25 left, but they failed to recover the ensuing onside kick.
Wake Forest (5-3), which lost on homecoming, went 1-3 in October after a perfect September.
Bradshaw threw for 145 yards and a TD and rushed for 65 yards and a score.
Wake Forest quarterback John Wolford was intercepted three times. He completed 23 of 43 passes for 220 yards and a touchdown.
The Demon Deacons' offense produced one second-half touchdown in the last three games.
Wake Forest had its first lead at 10-7 with 12:02 remaining in the third quarter on Weaver's 37-yard field goal following an Army fumble. He missed wide right from 46 yards later in the quarter for only his third miss in 13 attempts this season.
Army drove to the Wake Forest 18-yard line before Jesse Bates III intercepted Bradshaw in the end zone.
Wake Forest avoided early deficits after safety Rhyan England intercepted Wolford and Blake Wilson's 29-yard field goal was wide left.
But after forcing a punt, Army's next snap resulted in Bradshaw's 43-yard touchdown pass to Edgar Poe.
Wolford was intercepted twice in the first eight minutes, while the Demon Deacons also had a kickoff return for a touchdown wiped out by a penalty.
Army was denied a larger lead in the second quarter after Malik McGue's 58-yard punt return to the Wake Forest 33. Linebacker Jaboree Williams' fourth-down sack ended the threat.
Wake Forest then drove 69 yards, scoring on Wolford's 3-yard touchdown pass to Tabari Hines.
