NORMAN, Okla. -- Ohio State's offense was pretty simple when it got anywhere near the end zone Saturday night against No. 14 Oklahoma.

The No. 3 Buckeyes just found Noah Brown.

Brown had five catches -- four for touchdowns -- as Ohio State blew out the Sooners 45-24 in front of 87,979 at Gaylord Family–Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

Coming into the game, Brown had just five career receptions during parts of two seasons. He only had one career touchdown.

The Buckeyes also ran over the Sooners, rushing for 291 yards. Mike Weber ran for 123 yards on 18 carries. Curtis Samuel had 118 yards of total offense.

Ohio State came into the game having intercepted seven passes through two games while Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield had yet to throw an interception.

The Buckeyes quickly forced Mayfield into one when the Sooners -- down 7-0 early -- went for it on fourth-and-3 from the Ohio State 33.

The Buckeyes' Jayln Holmes got his hand up and on the ball as he rushed toward Mayfield, knocking it into the hands of Jerome Baker, who returned it 68 yards for a touchdown.

In the second quarter, Marshon Lattimore picked off another Mayfield pass, leading to Brown's second touchdown of the game on the next play.

The game was delayed for 90 minutes at the start as a strong line of thunderstorms moved through the area.

Oklahoma's cornerback problems were in full view in the first half as the Buckeyes continually tested Sooners freshman Parrish Cobb early.

In the second quarter, Brown had three touchdown catches. The first two -- one for 4 yards and another for 37 -- came with Cobb in coverage.

After the second, Cobb was replaced by senior Michiah Quick.

Ohio State ended the half by attacking Quick with Brown.

This time, Quick had it covered, but Brown leaped deep in the end zone, corralled the ball with his right hand and reached his left behind Quick's back to pin the ball there as they both fell to the ground. The touchdown gave the Buckeyes a 35-17 lead at halftime.

The Sooners moved the ball early against Ohio State, but after having success both on the ground and through the air on the opening drive, the drive stalled and Oklahoma came away empty-handed after Austin Seibert's 27-yard field goal try bounced off the right upright.

Two drives later, the Buckeyes took the lead on Samuel's 36-yard run on fourth-and-1.

Ohio State took a 14-0 lead less than three minutes later on Baker's 68-yard interception return for a touchdown.

The Sooners got right back into the game just seconds later after Joe Mixon returned the kickoff 97 yards for a score.

Replay showed Mixon dropping the ball before he entered the end zone, where it bounced into the end zone and it remained. But the play was not reviewed and Mixon was given the touchdown.
