No. 20 Missouri 29, Tennessee 21: Maty Mauk passed for 230 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Tigers to a road win over the pesky Volunteers.

Marcus Murphy rushed 19 times for 82 yards and two touchdowns for Missouri (9-2, 6-1 SEC), while Russell Hansbrough had 68 yards on the ground. Jimmie Hunt recorded three receptions for 106 yards and a score while Bud Sasser had four catches for 76 yards and a touchdown for the Tigers, who outgained Tennessee 409-279.

Joshua Dobbs was 24-of-37 for 195 yards and a touchdown for the Volunteers (5-6, 2-5), finding Pig Howard eight times for 90 yards. Jalen Hurd had 40 yards rushing and made six catches for 40 yards for Tennessee.

The Tigers jumped on top in the first five minutes on a 1-yard touchdown run by Murphy, but the Volunteers responded with a 38-yard field goal by Aaron Medley, then took the lead on a fake field goal attempt when holder Patrick Ashford found Alex Ellis for a 31-yard touchdown pass. Missouri took the lead back on a 7-yard run by Murphy, but Andrew Baggett missed the extra-point attempt wide, allowing the Volunteers to tie the game at the half on a 39-yard field goal by Medley with just under four minutes left in the second quarter.

Missouri started to take over in the third quarter, going ahead on a 43-yard field goal by Baggett, then added to the lead on a 73-yard touchdown hookup between Mauk and Hunt and a 13-yard touchdown pass from Mauk to Sasser to take a 29-13 lead. The Volunteers pulled within eight on Dobbs' 4-yard touchdown pass to Jason Croom and Dobbs' run for a two-point conversion with 1:52 to play, but couldn't recover an onside kick, allowing the Tigers to run out the clock.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Tigers can earn a spot in the SEC Championship Game with a win over Arkansas next weekend. … Missouri helped keep Tennessee in the game with 12 penalties for 82 yards. … Tennessee finished with 53 yards rushing.
