No. 3 Mississippi 34, Tennessee 3: Bo Wallace threw for 199 yards and a pair of touchdowns while the Rebels forced four turnovers en route to an SEC victory over the visiting Volunteers.

Wallace completed 13-of-28 passes and Vince Sanders caught four of them for 108 yards and a score for Mississippi (7-0, 4-0 SEC). Jaylen Walton added 60 yards rushing and a touchdown as the Rebels matched their undefeated 1962 national championship team for the best seven-game start in school history.

Justin Worley went 19-of-34 through the air for 191 yards and three interceptions as Tennessee (3-4, 0-3) lost for the fourth time in its last five games. Josh Malone gained 75 yards on five receptions for the Volunteers, who held a 3-0 lead after Aaron Medley’s 27-yard field goal early in the second quarter.

Wallace changed the momentum with a 39-yard scoring strike to Sanders down the right sideline with 5:08 left in the second quarter. Senquez Golson recorded the first of his two interceptions on the next series and five plays later Walton ran 7 yards for a touchdown as Ole Miss built its lead to 14-3 at halftime.

Walton ran 40 yards to set up Gary Wunderlich’s 34-yard field goal with 2:04 left in the third and Tennessee fumbled the ensuing kickoff. Wallace lofted a 28-yard touchdown pass to a diving Evan Engram on the next play from scrimmage to stretch the lead to 24-3 and the Rebels were on their way.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Mississippi’s defense has allowed only six touchdowns all season and the Rebels boast 15 interceptions – seven by Golson. … Tennessee has dropped eight straight games against SEC West opponents and lost to Ole Miss for only the second time in 15 games. … The Rebels have forced at least one turnover in 30 consecutive games.
