Ezekiel Elliott churned out 182 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries as the Buckeyes dominated on the ground and rolled past the visiting Bearcats.

J.T. Barrett went 26-of-36 for 330 yards and four touchdowns while adding 79 yards rushing for Ohio State (3-1), which piled up 380 yards on the ground and held possession for nearly 42 minutes. Rod Smith added a rushing TD and Devin Smith led the receiving corps with two scores for the Buckeyes.

Gunner Kiel completed 21-of-32 passes for 352 yards and four touchdowns, including three of 60 yards or more, to lead Cincinnati (2-1). Chris Moore caught three passes for 221 yards and three scores and Johnny Holton added a TD catch.

Kiel capped the game’s opening drive with a 60-yard touchdown to Moore before Ohio State took control, putting up 30 points in less than 14 minutes. Rod Smith and Elliott each had a 3-yard rushing TD and Joey Bosa sacked Kiel for a safety before Barrett found Smith for a 19-yard TD late in the first and Evan Spencer for a 19-yard TD 2:26 into the second to make it 30-7.

Kiel and Moore hooked up for an 83-yard TD with 26 seconds left in the half to chop it to 30-21 at the break, and the pair connected on a 78-yard score with 9:20 left in the third to draw the Bearcats within 33-28. The Buckeyes' defense forced a punt on each of the next three possessions and Barrett took advantage with TD passes to Wilson and Devin Smith to put the game away.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Ohio State has not lost to an in-state rival since 1921 and has not fallen to Cincinnati since 1897. … The Bearcats put up 422 total yards and have gone for at least 340 in 29 consecutive games. … Kiel has passed for 1,041 yards and 14 TDs in his first three career starts.
