No. 14 Stanford 20, Washington 13: Kevin Hogan rushed for the winning touchdown with 4:29 remaining as the Cardinal knocked off the host Huskies.
Hogan also passed for 178 yards and one touchdown for Stanford (3-1, 1-1), which allowed just 179 yards. Ty Montgomery caught a touchdown pass and Jordan Williamson kicked two field goals.
Cyler Miles was 15-of-29 for 98 yards and one touchdown for Washington (4-1, 0-1). Jaydon Mickens caught a scoring pass and Shaq Thompson returned a fumble for a touchdown.
The Huskies opted to go for it on a fake on fourth-and-9 from their own 47-yard line midway through the fourth quarter and Thompson was stuffed for no gain. The Cardinal took over and kept the ball on the ground, with Hogan scoring from the 5 on a bootleg to the right to provide the winning points.
Stanford had a 10-0 lead after Williamson’s 35-yard field goal and Hogan’s 17-yard scoring pass to Montgomery. Miles tossed a 25-yard TD pass to Mickens to get Washington on the board and Thompson returned a fumble 32 yards for a score with 1:54 left before the half to knot it at 13.
