No. 11 Notre Dame 30, Purdue 14
: Everett Golson threw for two touchdowns and ran for another as the Fighting Irish pulled away to avoid an upset bid in Indianapolis.

Corey Robinson and William Fuller had the touchdown grabs for Notre Dame (3-0), which dominated in the second half to avoid a letdown after routing Michigan 31-0 last Saturday. Golson completed 25-of-40 passes for 259 yards as the Fighting Irish won for the seventh straight time against their in-state rivals.

Danny Etling was 27-for-40 for 234 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions for the Boilermakers (1-2), who have been outscored 68-31 in suffering consecutive losses. Nine different Purdue players had at least one catch, led by Danny Anthrop with four for 61 yards.

Golson and Etling exchanged touchdown passes in the first quarter but Etling took advantage of a Notre Dame fumble with a 19-yard connection to DeAngelo Yancey to put Purdue up 14-10 late in the first half. Golson then capped a 70-yard drive with a 15-yard scoring run to give the Irish a 17-14 lead at the break.

Following a series of punts to begin the third, Golson lofted a pass for Robinson, who made a leaping grab in the end zone for a 15-yard score and a 24-14 lead with 4:05 left in the quarter. Etling failed to complete a fourth-down try in Notre Dame territory on the the Boilermakers' next possession and then threw a pair of interceptions in the fourth quarter to stifle any comeback attempt.
