Penn State 31, No. 14 Wisconsin 24: Christian Hackenberg passed for 339 yards and four touchdowns as the visiting Nittany Lions stunned the Badgers in Big Ten play.

Geno Lewis caught two touchdown passes and Allen Robinson had eight receptions for 122 yards as Penn State (7-5, 4-4 Big Ten) defeated Wisconsin for the fourth time in the last five meetings. Zach Zwinak rushed for 115 yards and Adam Breneman and Jesse James also had scoring catches for the Nittany Lions.

Wisconsin’s Joel Stave passed for 339 yards and three touchdowns but was also intercepted three times. The Badgers (9-3, 6-2) scored 10 late points and their final drive ended with Penn State’s Ryan Keiser intercepting a pass in the end zone with one second remaining.

The Nittany Lions seized control with 24 consecutive points to take a 31-14 lead. Hackenberg’s 7-yard scoring pass to James in the third quarter put Penn State ahead and his 59-yarder to Lewis with 12:59 remaining made it a 17-point margin.

Hackenberg tossed a 68-yard touchdown to Breneman less than two minutes into the game before Stave threw touchdown passes of 4 yards to Brian Wozniak and 20 yards to Jeff Duckworth to give Wisconsin a 14-7 lead. Hackenberg tossed a 3-yard tying touchdown to Lewis with 1:16 left in the half.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Zwinak topped 100 yards for the fourth consecutive game. … Badgers WR Jared Abbrederis caught a career-best 12 passes and had 135 receiving yards. … Robinson has 177 career receptions, two shy of the school mark of 179 held by Deon Butler (2005-08).
