Bralon Addison and Josh Huff caught two touchdown passes among their five receptions apiece, with Addison recording a career-high 158 yards and Huff 103 to help the Ducks (5-0, 2-0 Pac-12 North) reach 50 points for the fifth consecutive game. Byron Marshall added 122 yards rushing for Oregon, which outgained the Buffaloes 755-374.
Mariota, an early Heisman Trophy favorite, passed for 261 yards in the first half and Oregon racked up 415 total yards prior to the break en route to a 43-16 lead. The 6-4, 211-pound sophomore finished 16-of-27 for 355 yards and didn't finish a game for the 14th time in 18 career contests.
The Buffaloes (2-2, 0-2 Pac-12 South) reached into their bag of tricks to take a 10-8 lead 5:25 into the game. Wide receiver Paul Richardson took a double-reverse handoff and launched his first career pass - a 75-yard touchdown to a wide open D.D. Goodson, who outran the Oregon defense for the final 62 yards.
Oregon answered with 21 consecutive points - highlighted by a one-play, 75-yard drive when Mariota hooked up with Addison - and Mariota completed his first-half onslaught on a 4-yard touchdown pass to Huff with 57 seconds left. Mariota connected with Addison and Huff again for TD passes in the third quarter.
