Pittsburgh 58, Duke 55: Tom Savage passed for 424 yards and six touchdowns while Devin Street and Tyler Boyd combined for 320 receiving yards and five touchdown receptions to lead the Panthers to their first-ever Atlantic Coast Conference road win.

James Conner rushed for 173 yards and a touchdown for Pittsburgh (2-1, 1-1 ACC), which finished with 598 yards in total offense and intercepted four passes, including one returned 37-yards for a touchdown by Anthony Gonzalez with 8:30 left in the fourth quarter that proved to be the game-winning touchdown.

Brandon Connette passed for 323 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns for Duke (2-2, 0-2) but was also intercepted four times.

Jamison Crowder caught seven passes for 141 yards and scored three touchdowns, including a 82-yard punt return to bring Duke within 30-28 with 3:08 left in the first half. Savage connected with Boyd for a 14-yard touchdown just before halftime, however, and the Panthers built up a 51-28 lead in the third quarter on two more touchdown passes from Savage.

Duke made things interesting late by scoring two touchdowns in a 1:47 span, the second a 4-yard run by Connette with 3:43 remaining to cut Pittsburgh's lead to 58-55. The Panthers recovered the ensuing onside kick, however, and ran out the clock thanks to a key 15-yard completion from Savage to Kevin Weatherspoon on 3rd-and-7 at the Blue Devil 39.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The 113 points made it the highest scoring game in Pittsburgh history. ... Crowder's 82-yard punt return in the second quarter tied for the fifth-longest in Duke history. ... Boyd, who finished with eight receptions for 154 yards, became the first Panthers player with three receiving touchdowns in a game since Dorin Dickerson against Buffalo on Sept. 12, 2009.
