No. 10 Georgia 45, North Texas 21:

Todd Gurley rushed for 91 yards and a score, and Reggie Davis caught a school-record 98-yard touchdown pass in the second for Georgia (2-1), which piled up 641 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs defense held up its end by limiting North Texas (2-2) to seven yards rushing.

Derek Thompson threw for 202 yards and a score, and the Mean Green kept the game tight into the third quarter with a pair of special teams touchdowns before falling off the pace.

Gurley opened the scoring with a 12-yard touchdown burst, and Murray made it 14-0 when he hit Davis in the middle of the field and watched the freshman wide receiver beat the defense the rest of the way for his first career reception and touchdown. Murray hit Arthur Lynch for a 16-yard touchdown midway through the second but Brelan Chancellor took the ensuing kickoff back 99 yards to make it 21-14 at the break for Georgia.

Marcus Trice blocked a punt and Zac Whitfield recovered it in the end zone less than a minute into the third quarter to draw North Texas even, but Murray capped a 53-yard drive with a 1-yard rushing score just over seven minutes later to put the Bulldogs back on top for good.
