Colorado 38, Central Arkansas 24: Paul Richardson recorded his third career 200-yard receiving game - and second in two weeks - to help the Buffaloes snap a six-game home losing streak and improve to 2-0 for the first time since 2008.

Richardson, who totaled 208 yards and two touchdowns in Colorado's 41-27 victory over Colorado State last week, finished with 209 and two TDs on Saturday as the Buffaloes exceeded their victory total from a year ago. Connor Wood was 23-of-36 for 341 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions.

Colorado scored two defensive touchdowns - the first when Greg Henderson stepped in front of a Wynrick Smothers' pass and took it 46 yards to give Colorado 14-0 lead early in the second quarter. Jered Bell's 79-yard interception return off a deflected pass tied the game at 24 with 10:43 remaining.

Smothers, who was 33-of-55 for 258 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions, scored on a 1-yard run with 14:56 left in the fourth quarter to give the upset-minded Bears (1-1) a 24-17 lead. Smothers threw a pair of touchdown passes - 23 yards to Dezmin Lewis and 11 to Chase Dixon - to make it 14-14 at halftime.

After Richardson's 30-yard touchdown catch gave Colorado a 31-24 lead with 9:16 to play, Wood connected with Nelson Spruce for a 39-yard score to seal it with 4:24 left. Wood's first touchdown pass - a 55-yarder to Richardson - opened the scoring in the first quarter.

GAME NOTEBOOK: With its three interceptions, Colorado matched its total from the 2012 season. ... Colorado's previous home victory came against Arizona 48-29 on Nov. 12, 2011. ... Henderson had a 53-yard fumble return for a touchdown in the Buffaloes' 41-27 victory over Colorado State last week.
