No. 14 Oklahoma State 56, Texas-San Antonio 35: J.W. Walsh completed 24-of-27 passes for 326 yards and four touchdowns as the visiting Cowboys received touchdowns from eight different players.
Oklahoma State (2-0) finished with 605 yards of total offense, including 518 passing yards. Clint Chelf came on in relief of Walsh once the game was safely in place for the Cowboys and went 11-of-16 for 192 yards and two touchdowns.
Eric Soza kept the score respectable with 308 passing yards and three touchdowns for Texas-San Antonio (1-1). Two of those scores went to Kenny Bias, who finished with three receptions for 96 yards.
Walsh, who took over for Chelf early in last week's season opener, connected on touchdown passes of 10 yards to Jhajuan Seales and 19 yards to Brandon Sheperd in the first quarter. He added another scoring pass in the second quarter and also ran for a score in helping the Cowboys take a 35-7 lead at halftime.
The Roadrunners scored 28 points in the fourth quarter, including the three touchdown passes by Soza. However, Chelf also passed for a pair of scores in the fourth quarter, quieting UTSA's comeback hopes.
