Boise State 28, Washington 26:
Michael Frisina kicked a go-ahead 27-yard field goal with 1:16 left and Joe Southwick threw for 266 yards and a pair of scores as the Broncos edged the Huskies in the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas.

After squandering the lead on the previous possession, Shane Williams-Rhodes put Boise State (11-2) in strong position with a 47-yard kickoff return and Southwick drove the Broncos another 32 yards to put Frisina in position at the right hash mark. The senior kicker curved it inside the right post and Jeremy Ioane picked off Washington quarterback Keith Price to seal the win.

Bishop Sankey rushed for 205 yards and a touchdown on 30 carries and caught six passes for 74 yards for the Huskies (7-6).

Washington trailed the entire game until late in the fourth quarter, when Price led a 14-play, 76-yard drive that ended with Travis Coon’s 38-yard field goal and a 26-25 lead with 4:09 left. Price finished 20-of-38 for 242 yards, one touchdown and a pair of interceptions.

Boise State dominated the first quarter and a half, building an 18-3 lead with 5:25 left in the second quarter. Southwick completed a 16-yard touchdown pass to Geraldo Boldewijn with 15 seconds left in the first quarter and wide receiver Chris Potter threw a 34-yard scoring pass to Holden Huff before Washington began to battle back.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
