No. 10 Texas A&M 47, Sam Houston State 28: Redshirt freshman quarterback Johnny Manziel went 14-of-20 for 267 yards, rushed for 100 yards and tallied five touchdowns as the Aggies built an early lead against the visiting FCS Bearkats.

Manziel threw an 89-yard touchdown pass to Uzoma Nwachukwu on the Aggies' first offensive play of the second half and missed the ensuing extra point before leaving the game with a 40-0 lead.

Manziel, who became the fifth FBS player and first freshman with at least 1,000 rushing and 3,000 passing yards, hit Mike Evans for 7- and 10-yard touchdown passes early and rushed for scores of 4 and 1 yards.Nwachukwu had four catches for 160 yards for the Aggies (9-2) and Evans added 81 yards on six catches.

Aggies backup quarterback Jameill Showers hit LeKendrick Williams for an 80-yard score to push the lead to 47-0 before the Bearkats (8-3) scored 28 unanswered points with the help of two onside kicks and a fumble recovery. Junior Brian Bell threw for 150 yards and a touchdown and Tim Flanders added 64 rushing yards and a score for the Bearkats.
