Temple 17, Connecticut 14: Chris Coyer threw the game-tying touchdown pass with 19 seconds left in regulation and Brandon McManus hit the winning field goal in overtime as the Owls downed the host Huskies to continue their successful return to the Big East.

Coyer led Temple (3-2, 2-0) on the tying drive with a 14-yard touchdown pass to Jalen Fitzpatrick. Temple secured the win on McManus' 29-yard field goal after the Huskies missed a field goal in overtime.

Connecticut’s Chandler Whitmer threw for 293 yards and two touchdowns in front of his homecoming crowd as the Huskies lost their second straight conference game.

Connecticut (4-3, 1-1) did all of its scoring in the first quarter, yet outgained the Owls 381-334.

Coyer amassed 183 total yards while Temple tailback Montel Harris rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown on 30 carries.
