Stepfan Taylor scored on a 21-yard run in overtime as the host Cardinal erased a 14-point deficit in the final 6 1/2 minutes to stun the 17-point underdog Wildcats.

Josh Nunes rushed for three touchdowns and was 21-of-34 passing for a career-high 360 yards and two touchdowns for No. 18 Stanford (4-1, 2-1 Pac-12 North). Taylor finished with 142 yards and also scored in regulation and Levine Toilolo had five catches for 141 yards and a score.

Matt Scott was 45 of 69 passing for 491 yards and three touchdowns and Ka'Deem Carey rushed for 132 yards and three touchdowns against the nation's No. 3 rushing defense for Arizona (3-3, 0-3 Pac-12 South), which scored on five of its first six possessions of the second half. Austin Hill had 11 catches for 165 yards and two touchdowns.

After the Wildcats took a 48-34 lead on Scott's 10-yard touchdown pass to Terrence Miller with 9:13 remaining, Nunes scored on a 3-yard run with 45 seconds left made it 48-48.

Arizona scored on its final three possessions of the first half and took a 20-14 lead on Carey's 1-yard run to cap a seven-play, 75-yard drive to start the third quarter. The lead changed hands five more times before Carey's 8-yard touchdown run and ensuing two-point conversion pass from Scott to Hill put Arizona ahead 41-34 with 12:29 remaining.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Arizona played an 18th-ranked team for the third time this season. The Wildcats beat Oklahoma State 59-38 on Sept. 8 and lost to Oregon State 38-35 last week. ... The Cardinal, who hadn't allowed more than 17 points in a game this season, won their ninth straight game in October. ... Stanford has followed its last seven losses with wins dating to 2009 and won for the 17th time in its last 18 home games. ... The Cardinal have won eight of the last 10 meetings with the Wildcats, including the last three.
