No. 17 Louisville 21, Southern Miss 17: Senorise Perry scored on a 14-yard touchdown run with 5:35 remaining as the Cardinals rallied from an 11-point deficit to avoid an upset against the host Golden Eagles in a driving rainstorm.
Perry rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries, including a 1-yard touchdown scamper with 1:37 left in the second quarter that pulled the Cardinals (5-0) within 17-12.
Reggie Hunt's 23-yard interception return for a touchdown in the second quarter sparked a string of 17 consecutive points by the Golden Eagles (0-4), who took a 17-6 lead on Jalen Richard's 1-yard run with 6:15 left in the second quarter.
