Washington rushed nine times for 97 yards, including a 58-yard touchdown run, and completed 7 of 11 passes for 161 yards and one TD.

Laskey scored his first career touchdown on a 56-yard run and reserve quarterback Vad Lee rushed for 101 yards as Georgia Tech's offense rolled up 712 total yards, the second-most in school history.

Georgia Tech (1-1) had managed only 288 total yards in losing its season opener five days earlier against Virginia Tech. The Yellow Jackets eclipsed that figure by halftime against Presbyterian (1-1).

Georgia Tech's defense was denied its first shutout since 2008 when Presbyterian's Aaron Mayes kicked a 30-yard field goal with 5 seconds left.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Jeremy Moore's reception in the second quarter was the first by a Georgia Tech wide receiver this season. ... CB Rod Sweeting was chosen to wear No. 40 for the game in honor of Julian Burnett, a Georgia Tech linebacker who suffered a career-ending neck injury at the Sun Bowl. ... The two teams played for the first time since 1937. Georgia Tech leads the series 4-0.
