No. 5 Oklahoma 69, Florida A&M 13: Damien Williams rushed for 156 yards and four touchdowns as fifth-ranked Oklahoma rolled over Florida A&M in its home opener.
Williams averaged 15.6 yards per carry over 10 attempts before heading to the bench in the blowout. He capped his night with an 89-yard TD scamper that gave the Sooners a 49-10 lead with 10:34 left in the third quarter.
Landry Jones connected on 19 of 28 passes for 252 yards and two touchdowns for the Sooners (2-0), who built a 35-10 halftime lead. Oklahoma then outscored the Rattlers (0-2) 34-3 in the second half.
Brennan Clay rushed for 62 yards and two TDs on eight carries for the Sooners, who started relatively slowly, leading only 14-0 after the first quarter.
Oklahoma was coming off a lackluster 24-7 season-opening win at UTEP, which was a 30-point underdog. The Sooners only held a 10-7 lead entering the final period.
Oklahoma responded at home against the overmatched Rattlers, rolling up 662 yards of total offense.
Florida A&M scored its only touchdown on Damien Fleming's 75-yard pass to Travis Harvey that cut the deficit to 28-10 with 4:26 left in the first half.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Oklahoma improved to 78-3 at home under Bob Stoops, including a 37-1 mark since 2006. ... The Sooners improved to 11-6 all-time against teams from the state of Florida. ... Jones improved to 31-8 as the Sooners' starter. He is two wins away from passing Steve Davis (32 wins from 1973-75) for the top spot in school history.
