Arizona 24, Toledo 17 (OT): Terrence Miller caught a 10-yard touchdown pass from Matt Scott on third down in the first overtime to give coach Rich Rodriguez a victory in his debut with the Wildcats.

Scott passed for 384 yards and ran for another 72 as Arizona outgained Toledo 623-347. Ka’Deem Carey registered 149 yards rushing, including a 73-yard jaunt that put the Wildcats up 17-14 early in the second half.
The Wildcats had a chance to win it as time expired in regulation, but John Bonano missed a 25-yard field goal.
Arizona fumbled twice, once inside the Toledo 10, and had a touchdown taken off the board because of a holding penalty in the first half. That all added up to a 14-10 deficit at halftime.
The Rockets converted 10-of-15 third-down opportunities in the first half and held the Wildcats to 1-of-4. Toledo quarterback Terrance Owens found Alonzo Russell down the right sideline for a 59-yard scoring play and a 7-3 lead 1:05 into the second quarter.
